Room Was Dirty

There was an unidentified stain on one of the bed covers. Other than that for the money and price it was a fair deal.

needs some major improvement

our only problem was we couldnt understand anything some of the cleaning ladys said and both comforters had yellow stains it was nasty

Cheap Hotel

Didnt tell us of free breakfast voucher, room wasn't cleaned at all for 2 days, tv not working

not the worst but far from great

the rooms were clean and the ac was cold, but the bathrooms were absolutely disgusting. the wallpaper and paint were peeling off . the floor was dirty, the towels were dirty, and the worst part was the tub was clogged and filled up with dirty yellow water that NEVER drained. not even a little. was still full in the morning when we woke up. the sheets were clean and the location was great. but i will never go back there.

Practical for the Money - But Needs Improvement

Fantastic location to Universal Studios. The rooms are very clean and comfortable. The "needs improvement part" comes from having no breakfast available or coffee makers in the room (only vending machines)and a "local phone use charge" automatically added on to your room whether you use the local phone or not (this charge is stated on the check in). If you are looking for a place to just lay your head after a busy day at the park, this location is fine.

maintenance issues

Very friendly staff but first room had no hot water and then were moved to another room with no deadbolt lock (part missing).

the hotel looks great from the lobby,until you get to your room. the room had a mold like smell to it. the bathtub was stained. the wallpaper in the bathroom peeling off the walls and there was some visible mold. i was so unsure the tub had been cleaned because of the stains i wore shower shoes. the only good thing about this hotel was the location. It was in fact right near the main entrance of universal and was about a 15 minute walk

Needs Improvement

Great location. Room floor was soiled with hair from prior guests. The first room we were in had a broken air conditioner. Managment wanted us to wait an hour to get maintenance there to check it out. Finally we were able to change rooms. The TV cabinet was broken and the door stayed open. The bathtub was dirty and the paint was cracked and peeling inside of the tub. The shelf/closet area was completely dirty and had prior guests pubic hair all over it. The entire room was so dusty we couldn't stay another day.

Not my best Stay

Overall, everyone was polite, and the rooms were tidy, however there was mold in the bathrooms, many of the appliances in room were old and rusty.. it reminded me of a "cheap motel", however the location couldn't have been better for the price. The only direct aggravation was the cleaning ladies pushing their carts several times every hour from 7:30am on, and the lawn maintenance crew consistently making noise off and on from 8am sharp to about 11. After getting home and in bed around 4 a.m. that was an extremely unpleasant experience. I'd rather have just paid a little bit more, but I was looking for a good price. Now I know to pay the extra Hamilton next time..

Good Location - Bad Hotel

Great location for Universal but the hotel is in major need of repair. Ants in the room- lots of noise outside- beds were not comfortable.

Great Location - Terrible Hotel

We got a great rate at this hotel but soon found out why- the hotel is surrounded by closed businesses and is very old and needs so many repairs. The doors are paper thin and it sounded like a train coming through when the housekeepers rolled their carts down the hallways. We had ants in our room and the TV had about 7 stations. The location across from Universal is convenient but I would have paid a little more to stay at another hotel that felt a bit safer. There were about 15 other hotels within a block of this one which were much newer and just as close to Universal. Oh well we know for next time.
