This is allowed to be a hotel?

Wow, I almost turned around and went somewhere else. The hotel looks so run down and is sitting next to a fast food joint and a commercial building. The staff was nice and that was the only positive. The carpets were disgusting, my room smelled musty. It just did not seem like they are even trying to improve. The blanket on the bed even had a burn hole - and this was a non smoking room! Well I learned my lesson - never take a hotel site unseen! I will do more research next time!

Bad area and very run down hotel

I have stayed at other Comfort Inss and been happy but this one is not a good one, as evidenced by the lack of patrons. I booked two nights but left after one night because I didn't feel secure.

Needs updating

The hotel room was comfortable and breakfast was very adaquate, but the hotel overall needs updating and cleaning. I would not have stayed in this hotel if I had seen it previously. The price was great, but overall, I would have gladly paid for a better hotel rather than stay here.

Go somewhere else

The male receptionist when we checked-in was somewhat borderlining between a-big-time jerk and just-plain rude person. My wife and I felt that we were interruptions to his TV-time when we came back to the desk at two separate occassions to reactivate their faulty keycards. Our room was located near the Jack-in-the-box fast food, occassionally there would be drive-thru customers who were blasting their ears off with their car stereos. It was like midnight and we already settled in AND my three year old was already asleep AND I had to wake up at 5am to ask for us to be transferred. The thing that ticked me the most was the receptionist/manager (different person when we checked-in) was late in opening the breakfast area. The employee or maybe owner was inside the breakfast area and was sleeping in full view of customers! And I waited for at least 15 minutes but the quality of the food was very poor and not worth my time. The pancake mix was awful. The apples were like soft and about to rot... I didn't dare to bite. I had to eat somewhere for a decent breakfast.
