Trip Type: Romance Review 1 of 25Great Location
The Lahaina Inn is right near all of the action in Lahaina. You can walk to all of the restaurants, shops and other local destinations. The hotel is a total trip back to the 1920s/1930s. Real rich wood and furniture from the era. It is a unique experience. Our only complain is that the hotel was full the day we checked in and my wife and I ended up in a room with two single beds. In addition to having two single beds, the room was very small. Not ideal for a 20th anniversary trip. We spent only one night at the Lahaina before the resort we had scheduled was avaialbe. It was very enjoyable and I would recommend it for a short stay in Lahaina. A longer stay would have been a bit uncomfortable.

Trip Type: Romance Review 3 of 25Fine Maui Value
A superb vintage hotel in a great location in the heart of Lahaina. Extremely well-maintained, helpful owner, delightful decor. Good value, probably better than most. Comfortable, accommodating, would definitely stay again. A good way to avoid the mega-resort feeling and be part of the "old" islands.

We had a great time and loved the hotel, room, location and more. The common room where we could make tea, toast, and heat our food was super!

Trip Type: Romance Review 6 of 25Excellent Location
The hotel is in downtown Lahaina, just 1/2 block off of the front street. We could see the ocean from the balcony! We had previously stayed at the resorts in Kaanapali. While the amenities at the resorts were nice, they didn't match our lifestyle. If you're into history, walking along shops, hanging out in clubs/bars, or great photo opportunities all without having to get into a car, stay in downtown Lahaina. Stay at the Lahaina Inn. The _only_ problem we had was the early morning trash pickup trucks. However, they'd make noise for only 5 minutes each morning then be on their way. Besides, we had to be up to go sightseeing anyway! Loved it.

Trip Type: Special Event Review 7 of 25Lahaina Inn
I think this hotel was super! Charming decor, very centrally located and clean. No t.v. in the room (they tell you that ahead of time), but there was a large screen, cable t.v. in the comfortable lounge. And if you're going to be less than a block from the beach on Maui, why would you want to stay in and watch t.v.?! The proprietor had a lot of helpful information (restaurant suggestions, bus schedules, etc.) and was very helpful. The reports that I had read about the rooms being noisy were only partially true. On one day only there was a garbage pick up behind the hotel, and that was a workday/weekday. The rooms are smaller than your typical hotel room, but the comfortable blankets, towels, pillows and bathrobes make up for that. Plus, you can't beat the location...or the price!

Trip Type: Romance Review 8 of 25A great little hotel with a historic feel
The Lahina Inn is a small (12 room) hotel just off the main drag in Lahina. A relatively recent conversion of a historic 1930's era general store, it strives for (and achieves) a very nice period feel. (if they didn't tell you it was from the 80's, you wouldn't know) The hotel was very clean, and the staff very helpful. The rooms are small, so this is a place for couples, not families, and there are unavoidable stairs, so it's not good for persons with limited mobility. But the balconies are great, and the location is right in the middle of everything (which might be an issue if you're a light sleeper). Parking is available off-site (about 75 yards away) for $7.00 a night.

Trip Type: Business Review 9 of 25outstanding hotel
My recent stay at the Lahaina Inn 4/30 was a very pleasant experience. This charming boutique hotel had the perfect location. Toni, the owner, had a warm aloha greeting upon my arrival. Room 10 was cozy and comfortable. The " community room" with refrig, microwave, tables, and TV provided that touch of home if choosing to dine in. A great stay at a reasonable price.

Trip Type: Overnight Stay Review 10 of 25Great Locations, very old school feel
Location doesn't get much better, but it feels like you are staying in your grandmother's house. Very old/traditional place and everyone can hear everything within the hotel. Good value though considering where it is located.

Trip Type: Special Event Review 11 of 25Lovely little place. Way more good points than bad.
I stayed alone from Saturday to Wednesday. Bad stuff first. I was put into a small room on the backside that did not have an ocean or mountain view at all. Instead, out of my veranda, I saw a paved parking lot and the back behind-the-scenes area of businesses (mainly restaurants I believe). Each morning I was woken up to sounds of the leaf blower guy, and what seems like a monster garbage truck collecting from the dumpster. Each night you could hear noise from the neighborhood such as people merry-making maybe slightly intoxicated, and loud music from nearby establishments. Lahaina is a happening place especially on the weekend. The bathroom shower tiles on the floor looked mildewy and dirty, but upon closer inspection, they were clean and dry. Just looked kinda iffy. Neutral next No fridge, TV, or internet in your room. You can find all of these in the common area which is shared by all the guests. TV was huge, fridge was not, and occasionally the Wifi would drop and my Macbook could not reconnect. The common area was pretty interesting. You can get free coffee and tea. I've met some guests coming and going who would share advice on some of the tourist activities they've done. It felt like a B and B except instead of breakfast there were generous amounts of wine being shared. The Excellent for last The antique furniture and old-school island print walls have personality. I liked the position of the shower, because it came from on top, it felt like clean rain. The lack of TV was fine by me. With all of beautiful Maui right outside, who needs it ya? Most hotels have colored sheets possibly to hide stains. Lahaina inn had ALL white sheets, covers, and towels. No stains whatsoever, and looked and smelled immaculate. I had a full sized bed all to myself, and it was very comfy. (Although for two people I think it would be pretty tight). The Wifi connection would drop, but if I was looking for local information, I would just run downstairs to the front desk and ask. Th
