Unless familiar with the feeder troughes alongside the highways in Texas, this hotel will be difficult to find. My GPS had to take me down a washed out, partially closed road to even get to the hotel. Once at the hotel, the paint was peeling (in sheets) off the wall. The view (of the parking lot) wasn't all that bad. We had obviously underestimated what "pool" and "internet" meant. The outdoor pool was very small, no indoor pool. Internet was slow, at best, and sometimes non-functional.

The Hotel was definitely what you paid for. The Hotel was in the middle of a remodel in the Lobby, which was perfectly fine, but the rooms were in more need of a makeover than the lobby. One room of ours had the shower curtain rod broken off the wall and mold lining the drywall around the tub. Another room was half flooded from the Air Conditioner. Most other things wer as I expected, other than the pool, it was the smallest pool I have ever seen. Literally it looked like a small kiddie pool.

For the most part the staff was ok but not very friendly. The hotel makes a loud noise like every 2 hours so if you have a child you can't get them to sleep nor can you go to sleep. The beds are not queens they are more like fulls, we have a gueen at home and the bed at the hotel is definatly smaller. The location is ok it's right off the highway but thats the only thing nice about it. Our view was looking at the back of another building. We were just straight up disapponited with this hotel.

This is the second time I visited this hotel and booked through hotels.com. 1st time-the hotel couldnt verify any information regarding the room because it would take "several hours" for hotel.com to send the information. I called hotels.com to notify them and they were able to call the location and let me know I could then call and get the information I needed. Thank goodness I had the time to do all of that calling around. 2nd time- booked through hotels.com..booked a suite and was given a standard. When I went to the front desk to advise that a mistake had been made, they blamed hotels.com and told me that I should always book through them because hotels.com frequently doesnt send the correct information to their corporate office. I just needed to get the correct room. When traveling, people dont want to hear a blame game. They just want to be able to relax without confusion. This will be the last time that I stay at this location. ***I forgot to mention that the cabinet doors in the room were hanging off of the hinges, I could see the people who passed by outside the door (I guess the door was not square on teh hinges??) AND part of the security lock at the top of the door was missing. Raggedy AND unprofessional is unacceptable.

Poor value for the money. Maintenance gaps were apparent (broken door lock, smoke alarm, water damage to plaster). After calling the front desk, we were told that no maintenance personnel were available to fix the smoke alarm problem.
