Travelodge New Orleans Westbank

Absolutely Horrible!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Had to switch rooms twice, roaches all over the room, very dirty, had to buy cleaning products to clean room, housekeeping never came to change linen or towels, management was very nasty and didnt care for our concerns, they had people living in the room next to us and they had their laundry drying over the balcony and a bbq and chairs set up outside the room, very rundown, had to contact corporate office to demand answers due to mnagement at Westbank hanging up the phone on us every time we called.

Housekeeping needed

Dirty coffee pot, pillows, sheets, microwave & fridge

Very noisy

geez..this hotel is so loud..i can not sleep in 2 nite...you can hear everything around you.

needs improvement

asked for a non smoking room, got a smoking room, my door didn't lock, tv only had 1 channel, housekeeping walked in to the room at 10am after I asked them to wait while I got dressed

needs a lot of improvement

hard beds, lumpy old pillows, nonsmoking room smelled like ashtray, TV remote did not work and half the buttons on TV did not work either, breakfast consisted of stale honey buns and blueberry muffins, and raisenbran or frosted flakes and only lasted from 7 a.m. till 9 a.m.

New Orleans

The housing crisis in New Orleans is still evident based on the amount of people that are living full time in this hotel. It had a neighborhood feel...complete with friendly salutations. The neighborhood that the hotel is located in is not condusive to evening strolls and sightseeing. Staff was very nice.

Needs Improvement

Bathroom is so small you have to stand in tub to close door. Beds are hard as a rock. Sheets had multiple holes in them. Two light bulbs were missing. Lighting is very poor. We chose a cheaper hotel because we were basically just going to sleep there and use the bathroom to wash up but even these two things were sub-par. Would not recommend this hotel at all, it would be worth it to spend that other $25 and get a better room.

Needs Improvement

There was a phone number painted with lip gloss on the left side of the room. A car alarm went off for 3 hours that kept everyone at the hotel awake. My biggest issue was with the bathroom. The toilet was not mounted to the floor correctly, so it would wobble every time you sat down to use the bathroom. I stayed at a Travel Lodge in Houston and everything was great. That is why I had complete confidence that this Travel Lodge would be the same. However, I have come away with a diiferent outcome that would deter me from staying at another Travel Lodge.

Ok room for the money

The pool wasn't exactly the best. It looked liked it needed a lot of cleaning. We decided not to use it. It was ok for the price we paid.
