It's ok but the beds killed our backs!

Good price. Bad beds. Clean. Good location. Would suggest booking a massage after your visit.

Bare minimum at best. Don't count on breakfast or service with a smile. I won't stay there again.

Needs Improvement

The wall AC was too noisy, kept me awake, and you could also hear every one elses AC noise. The fridge in the room was noisy as well. Shower head was broken. The breakfast area was too small, crammed in the lobby, with few tables. People where checking out while you are eating. The room was not cleaned the first day when we returned. I have to admit thought that the price was not too bad. They also gave us a little discount as a compensation for not cleaning the room and changing the towels the first day.

Front desk service lacks of friendly custumer service and taking care of guest. Location is good for the money value.

ok for sleeping

Hotel is ok if you are just going there to sleep. We chose this hotel because it was in between LegoLand and SeaWorld. Old hotel. Pool was not too clean. Very small breakfast area. Free Internet access was extremelly slow.

Needs Improvement

The room was very small. The towels were so thin I could see thru them. The first room we checked in to had a non-working phone and heater/air conditioner. We had to relocate to the room next door. There was a very small open closet that was not large enough for our clothing and no where to put the suitcases. The location was great with restaurants within walking distance and playground for the kids.

OK for the money

Room was about what I expected. Not nice, but OK for the money. Drive up motel feel. Breakfast was sub-par. Biggest complaint - I picked up my keys in the morning and a cockroach scurried away - not very clean.

Needs Improvement

I stayed at the hotel for one night. It wasn't that pleasant. I was reluctant to complain since we only had one night there and I really didn't want to change rooms just before our night out. First the TV reception was not good at all, then I found out later that when I turned on the heat and air went up toward the curtains, I noticed the mold smell in the curtains, so I shut the heat off, plus the heat never got warm enough anyway. We were out most of the night. Then in the morning when we went to take our showers we found that the shower didn't drain properly; the water was backing up. One other thing that I think is very important, the stairwell wasn't lit properly and was a hazard even more with the rain water coming down where it doesn't have any protection from the rain.I think all that went wrong could have been avoided easily. I was greatly disappointed. The good part about where we stayed is that we were close to the freeway and really didn't even hear it. The staff were very nice. If you like Dennys its walking distance, next to the parking lot.

Definitely the "Hotels.com" room

-Bathroom faucet leaked from the base when turned on. -2nd floor room and no hotel elevator. -T.V. did not work.

Need improvement

The room was sooooo small.The bathroom shower has barely water coming out of it. So it a while for us to take a shower.The room is clean except the carpet it looks very old and dirty.Im glad we only stay 1 night coz I cant stay there for more than 1 night.

Last resort in Encinitas

The room was mediocre at best. The continental breakfast is for early risers only: ie before 6:30 because any later and its all gone. Denny's is located right next door and it will be obvious because they take all of the parking. If you return to your room after lunch; you probably will not have a parking spot unless you wait around for someone to leave Dennys. Better deals along Coastal but can be a last resort in Encinita's.
