Depends on your travel obectives...

My intent was to visit friends and experience the night life of Hermosa Beach which was not a true walking distance as they stated and it is located along the edge of Redondo (not the nicest area), the hotel is cute yet tucked away off the road behind a row of restaurants, the rooms are small (bathroom was bigger than the room) and when they charge extra for a view of the marina/ocean it means you must be standing outside to see it... I would recommend spending half the price at the crowne plaza across the street

Too loud, too noisy

This hotel plays loud disco music all day in the lobby and you can hear TVs and people talking between rooms. Not a restful place to be. That's disappointing because the location is calm and restful outside the hotel.

Slightly Used Room

I arrived late, so wasn't too disappointed at the missing valet or parking service....but when I was told the hotel was 'sold out' I was asked to wait for a while until a room could be found. The room they found had been used. The TV was on, the bathroom supplies had already been broken into, and there were a few old magazines left on the bed. I was so tired I just went to sleep. When I mentioned all of the above to the front desk in the morning, I got no response - just a bogus charge for valet parking. I will NOT be back.

IT'S VERY GOOD LOCATED AND WITH A VERY NICE ENTRANCE. EXCELLENT SERVICES FROM THE GUYS AT VALET PARKING. THE SERVICE AT RECEPTION NEEDS SOME IMPROVEMENT. ROOM ARE VERY, VERY SMALL AND BEDS ARE VERY, VERY, VERY, SMALL AS WELL. NOT RECOMMENDED ONE ROOM FOR A FAMILY OF FOUR. VERY CONVENIENCE LOCATION FOR DINNERS AT RESTAURANTS CLOSE TO THE HOTEL AT FISHERMAN WARF (WALKING DISTANCE). IN SUMMARY: TOO EXPENSIVE FOR SMALL ROOM WITH VERY SMALL BEDS?

Rude staff, leaking hotel room, phones not working

After a long drive we did not need to be dealt with by a rude receptionist, or the be put in a room which was leaking, with inadequate numbers of towels and phones which didnt work. It was dissappointing. The bar staff seemed overwhelmed although the restaurant attached to the hotel was very good. Overall, I wouldnt want to go back and dont reccommend others do.

big disappointment

The main lobby/bar area was shabby, with torn upholstery on the chairs. The maid service was marginal--requiring repeated calls to the desk for room corrections. The hotel seemed intent on extracting every dime from the client---the $18/day charge for parking your own car on their property was especially annoying. They gave little information on nearby attractions or restaurants--trying instead to guide/push to their own overpriced restaurant. The shower was a treat. So if you need a shower badly, this is your hotel. Otherwise give it a wide berth.

Not Such a Great View

I was very unimpressed with this hotel. I booked it because of all the glowing reviews on hotels.com with regards to the views. Well, the views are great if you have an ocean side room. If you have a marina side room, you will be looking at a parking lot. :( If you can't get an ocean side room, do not stay at this hotel.
