I was very pleased with this hotel,and believe me I am extremely PICKY,we usually go to more expensive hotels, and the service, the cleanliness and confort of the room met all my requirements. I definately would go back to The Crown Plaza at Tampa

Pleasantly Surprised

My wife and 1 year old daughter chose this hotel since it was within 5 miles of the Florida Aquarium and avoided the downtown parking fees and higher room rates. Upon entering the hotel, I would have almost thought we were at the wrong hotel, since this place was seemingly brand new and upscale in appearance. Whatever they did in their remodel, it worked! Everything was super clean and top notch. Service was very friendly and prompt. We barely mentioned we may need a roll away for mom-in-law and within a few minutes of settling in the room, housekeeping showed up with a nice roll away bed, and it wasn't those cheapo ones that fold up, they brought it in on it's own built in dolly wheels, nice and comfy li'l bed ;) We had a room with 2 doubles, the mattresses are nice pillow tops and there must have been 10 pillows on top with different sizes and softness. The room decor is somewhat of a modern art neuvou feel... the TV is a nice 28ish inch LG flat panel. Everything was upgraded. Of all the things offered, I figure the only thing I could complain about, was the entry door squeaked like a haunted house door. The West Shore Plaza mall is within a 100 yards. VERY nice mall, all upscale also. Convenient food court if you need a bite to eat in the afternoon and evening. The hotel has a nice breakfast buffet we tried the 1st day, it was a little pricey, but that's to be expected when you dine at any hotel. You can always just drive down Kennedy and fine any number of little eateries or grocery store. If you want a VERY nice family excursion, visit Tampa's Lowry Park Zoo, it's a very family oriented zoo with rides (animal and mechanical), petting areas, water play areas, and animal feeding areas. I highly recommend the Giraffe feeding, they're very friendly and is a perfect photo op with the kids.

Great Room!!

I just stayed here for one night with my boyfriend because we were going to a football game the next day so I found the least expensive rate I could, while still looking for a hotel I thought would provide a high level of comfort. I'm very picky when it comes to hotel room cleanliness and bed comfort and this hotel exceeded my expectations! I never imagined you could get a room so clean and spacious at such a low price! Our room was literally huge! The only thing I wouldn't recommend was the room service. It wasn't very good and it was very overpriced for what it was, but that can really be expected at any hotel. I would definitely stay here again!

Room was large, modern and super clean. Staff was great.

T.V, reception needs improvement

The biggest problem was the H.D.T.V which was not functioning properly and regularly lost the H.D. signal. I took my complaint to the night manager who informed me that the T.V.s were being upgraded.

Outstanding hotel for the price we paid

We've booked 2 rooms for just 1 night because of the proximity to the Tampa airport and we just loved it. Big flat screen TVs and very nice eco-friendly light fixtures. Absolutely no complaints and for it is an outstanding hotel for the price we paid. We will definitely come back to this hotel whenever we make a trip down to Tampa.

Great Hotel

The Hotel was wonderful. Very clean. Staff was extremely friendly and helpful. The pool was very clean. Only one miner thing. We were never told that on Sunday they have a breakfast buffet. Everything was great.

Not as good as I thought...

When I booked this hotel I thought I was in for a real treat. However, the hotel wasnt as nice as I thought. But the service was good and it was nice, just not what I expected. I guess I set my expectations too high.
