Trip Type: Special Event Review 1 of 70Great Value
My family had to do much business in the rooms preparing for a wedding. The rooms were large enough for several people to interact without difficulty. The view was not all that great but we didn't rent the room for the lanai. The kitchen, dinette and two double beds and large room were a killer combination. Thanks to the hotel staff for a great vacation.

Trip Type: Romance Review 2 of 70Great hotel for the money
The room was better than expected. The hotel staff were both friendly and helpful at all times. The location is wonderful for getting around Waikiki. We will be back to this hotel. Free parking and wifi. The only complaint was the wifi. It kept dropping me off the internet, but the staff put me on with their internet provider. They tried to solve the problem, but it persisted. It wasen't that big a deal, as the beach, etc is more important than the internet when in Hawaii. Love this hotel and it's staff, that sings Hawaiian songs, at 11:30 AM each Friday, in the Lobby.

We enjoyed our stay at this friendly, welcoming, clean, comfortable, and reasonably priced hotel. We will most certainly stay there again, and recommend the hotel to our friends.

Trip Type: Business Review 6 of 70Good deal for the money
Hotel room is a little old, but clean and nicely appointed with microwave, range and refrigerator. Staff were friendly and helpful, and hotel itself is conveniently located; close to shops, restaurants, etc. And the free parking was good, too!

Trip Type: Not Provided Review 7 of 701 nite stay
for thise on a tight budget that don't mind minimal air conditiioning and bedding it is ok but for those who are used to real air conditioning this will let you down. the room was good sized and as advertised with no frills.

Trip Type: With Friends Review 8 of 70Outdated rooms with old mattresses
This hotel has a decent location in Waikiki but the rooms were very outdated and old. The room is extrememly tired looking and the t.v. is very very small! You can barely see it from the beds. It does have a full kitchen if you need that, however, because of how old it is, the cleanliness factor is always in the back of your mind. If you are coming to visit Hawaii, I suggest that you spend a little more money and stay some place nicer because this place is really kind of gross.

Convenient location, free parking, spacious rooms, clean, friendly staff. Highly recommend. We could walk two blocks to food and shopping. Centrally located to lots of great places.

Trip Type: Special Event Review 13 of 70Happy in Hawai'i at the Ilima
If the Ilimi were right on the sand at Waikiki and they did some cosmetic updating, people would flock to this hotel. As it is now, this is an exceptional value with its large rooms, kitchenettes, wonderful service, free internet, free parking, laundry facilities, and central location, albeit closer to the canal than the sand. We just dropped our youngest off to start at UofH Manoa, and this hotel will probably be our "ohana" in Hawai'i when we visit until we find a better value, if that is possible.
