Trip Type: Rest and Recreation Review 1 of 52Depends on what you need
This is a hotel to drop your bags and run, stay all day out, and return late at night. Bed was no good. Cleaning was almost OK. Free internet connection was extremely slow and unstable. Breakfast: just coffee or tea and a toast or a mini donut. The good part is that it is a quiet location, 2 blocks from Waikiki Beach, it faces the Ala Wai channel, which is not a bad view. They give you beach towels.

Trip Type: Romance Review 2 of 52the good, the bad, the ugly
the good - Free complimentary continental breakfast (mini-donuts, go-gurt, toasts, pineapple juice, coffee). nice bar at lobby. i believe it was FRee wifi though. the bad - need to be cleaner and renovated. location is a lil too inland... need to walk extra blocks to goto beach. But very near the International Market. the ugly - they charge for parking.

Trip Type: Romance Review 3 of 52Sunny & Sung
the Good - 1. cheap and affordable. 2. free continental breakfast with tiny donuts, gogurts (yogurts inside a tube), coffee, juice, and toasts. 3. nearby a 24 hours Denny's if u get hungry middle of night. 4. i believe it was free wifi (i was there in July so am not positive of this but i believe it was free) the BAD - 1. they charge for parking, which sucks 2. location is walking distance from the' beach yet... its more near that dirty river that's famous for having dangerous flesh eating bacterias rumors than the beach. It is near the Waikiki International market though. 3. room is tiny and dingy... they really NEED to re-do give the rooms a makeover or something. 4. it's bad cause they could do so much more to liven up and give the hotel some identity and charm. Instead of being just a cheap no frill place. the UGLY - 1. at night the main street near the hotel where the Denny's is has some strange scary (to my wife) street walking pro types hanging around... the area needs to be cleaned up at night. 2. Lets have some pride and take better care of the place... :)

Trip Type: Family Review 4 of 52Good Price, Unresolved Problem
The price was fine and the location was good. But the A/C unit in my room was malfunctioning. I reported this to the front desk. They told me that there were no other rooms to move me into. Instead, they told me that they would fix the problem with the A/C. But they did not do this.

Trip Type: Family Review 6 of 52Hotel's OK, Good Location though
The hotel's in a good location with easy access to the beach, shopping, restaurants, etc. The rooms are old but fairly clean. (I did find evidence of previous guests... hair in the shower.) Those working at the front desk must not live in the area because they were unable to answer many of my questions.

Trip Type: Romance Review 7 of 52kinda ghetto
Don't be fooled by the list of amenities and the proximity to the beach. Or the photos of the lobby. The lobby is noticeably nicer than the rooms. At least, the standard rooms. Our room was very small, had stained curtains, an incredibly hard mattress, tilted counters, a lizard in the room, and a bathtub that filled with water when we showered. Oh, and the breakfast is paltry. Don't stay at this hotel. We ignored the warning reviews of others past guests who rated this hotel and we paid the price.

Trip Type: Family Review 8 of 52Not So Great Expectations
The bar and extra towels were the best part of staying at the hotel. Service was friendly all around, though the poor condition of all amenities cast a dark shadow over my entire stay. PROS: + Only a couple blocks away from the Kuhio beach park, which is one of the better ones in Waikiki. + ABC mart on the corner + King's Corner 2 blocks away + Bar staff was very nice (especially late evening and noon-6). CONS: - Coffee Pots: Broken (only the first day your coffee is free, and the replacement coffee pot doesn't even fit the machine) - Hot Water: If you are ever up before 6:30 AM you will get no hot water and not a lot of water pressure. - Terrible Continental Breakfast: I've seen a better continental in a Motel 6. You get coffee, juice, tea, burnt toast, stale mini donettes, stale mini croissants, and gogurt. - Really Uncomfortable Beds: I've never slept on a bed that felt worse than bare concrete. Springs were grinding into me the entire night. The pillows were also really thin (ask for a second from the front desk). - Construction & Maintenance: There were no postings prior to my booking a few weeks from my travel date that they would have the water & AC off throughout the hotel for an entire day. There was also remodeling of the bar manager's room that kept the pool area noisy from 8 AM to 4 PM (drills, hammers, jackhammers, saws, etc). They also neglected to inform me of these things upon check-in so I found out the hard way. - Lacking Drink Books: There were some drinks that bartenders not working during prime hours didn't know how to make or to make well.

Trip Type: Family Review 10 of 52noisy at night
We were very impressed with this hotel until we tried to sleep that night. The beds were very uncomfortable and the wind was rattling the sliding door. (We were on the 10th floor.) Not a bad price for Waikiki, but do yourself a favor and spring for a nicer place on the beach. We stayed the remaining nights at the Outrigger Waikiki, which was fantastic!

Trip Type: Overnight Stay Review 11 of 52Terrible Service
Good thing my husband and I only had to stay there for one night! Terrible service! I had to ask for a hair dryer and an iron three times (20 minutes apart), then I got really upset went to the front desk and tell them to disregard because I was really tired and had to get up early in the morning. 15 minutes later the guy woke us up to finally bring the iron which we ended up not using. But still no hair dryer... Don't forget - they will charge you for parking ($15 a night) I will avoid this place in the future.

Trip Type: Romance Review 12 of 52BUYER BEWARE
The hotel was very nice when walking into the lobby, past that everything else was filthy and dingy. The beds were small, we had a standard room with a double bed and a twin. They had a plastic bed cover that made sleeping uncomfortable, and the sheets would never stay in place. The staff was accomidating, but there was a great deal of noise through the night. One night we had the fire alarm go off with no explanation why from the staff. Another night teens partying in the hall, slamming doors, yelling; the front desk staff handled the situation quickly but nothing was done to prevent something.

Trip Type: Romance Review 13 of 52Sometimes less is more
I chose this hotel because it wasn't the cheapest, however now I wish I would have saved more money. The hotel staff was very accommodating, however the facility was dirty, unkempt, and not relaxing. First we had the fire alarm go off at 2 am, and the front desk never could explain why. Next there were a group of teenagers staying in the hotel partying until 2 am. When we called about the party noise the front desk handled it quickly. The location of the hotel was very close to the beech, shopping, dining, and tour pickup locations. Parking was cheaper than other hotels, and there are some on street parking spaces close. I wouldn't recommend this hotel, unless you are staing in the newer studio suites by the pool.

Trip Type: Not Provided Review 14 of 52Needs Improvement with the Beds
The room was clean, however, the mattress had a rubber or plastic mattress cover that made sleeping very uncomfortable. I would not recommend this hotel to friends or family unless the hotel changed it bedding sleeper friendly!

Trip Type: Romance Review 15 of 52Convienient to shopping, Rooms Need to be re-done, No onsite parking,
The hotel is Old, standard room is not shown in advertisement, beds very hard, room very small, no onsite parking, additional fees for parking not disclosed, continental breakfast consists of toast, plain donuts & small cup of pineapple. Close to shopping but not the best value!
