A Hostel is Better. Not even worth $20 usd!

I was excited that this hotel was really close to Universal Studios and had a shuttle service to the park. Then I checked in. It was as if I was in a time warp from the 1970's. The staff was rude, the lobby (if you can call it that) smelled horrible. The shuttle service to the park leaves only once a day. You could actually walk to the park though! The room was horrific, worse than any "hostel" I have ever been in! Carpet stains, rusty fixtures, broken A/C, toilet running, shower weak, nasty smelling sheets (we actually purchased new sheets at a store and used those), door locks unsecure, thank god we were only there for one night! This should be taken off Hotels.com! Stay Away! But hire the guy who took the photos, he obviously works magic.

Get what you paid for

The check-in lady was quite rude. We were unable to check in even 15 minutes earlier than the scheduled check-in time. The room was nothing to brag about. Luckily, only saw two bugs in room. The shuttle to Universal left only once a day. The pool was freezing but clean. The check out guy was much nicer. Hotels.com was very good about sending all information we could need about our stay before we left.

Needs Improvement

After checking in, we went to the room and there was a big water lick in the bath tub and it also was dirty, I called the office and they offered me a different room wich I took, when we were already installed, my girlfriend tryed to take a shower but there was no water comming out of the shower head, so she had to get out of the bathroom and I had to call the office to report the problem, they sent a maintenance guy and he replaced the shower head with an old one that wasn't that good but we were able to take a shower, and finnally, I'll like to mention that the bathroom door was in such bad condition that we couldn't close it. I am sorry, but I would not recommend this hotel to anybody!!!

Needs improvement

They lied about the breakfast buffet the elevator was dirty and no air conditioned the room really smelled the t.v stations were fuzzy they did'nt have any premium channels. There are a lot of Hotels on International Dr i do not recommend this one to anybody

Okay for the money.

Hotel needs a makeover. It is old and tired. A bit pricey for what it is. But the service ppl are nice and no one bothers or asks questions. It's a good place to stay if you are visiting any of the parks. FYI - bring a pillow - the ones at the hotel aren't not comfy.

Was horrible

One reason I picked was because of free good breakfast and I-Drive. Big mistake because a much better and quality breakfast can be obtained for $3.99 just outside. There are plenty of hotels on I-Drive which are all better than this one. The hotel staff extremely rude. The flush works poorly and the room stinks. I have been in different hotels I never realized that a hotel this bad can ever exists. There were other bad reviews for this hotel and I thought they were too harsh and reality may be different but being there I realized that those reviews were infact milder than reality.

"Needs Improvement"

Very Dirty Rooms, hotels promises Breakfast Buffet on their website but we has a continental breakfast and they were out of plates !!! Dusty floors, stained carpets, mold on bathroom walls and our rooms had a funny smell. I called front desk when we checked in about our room's condition he answered i am just the front desk person I don't know about that, house cleaning handles those things???

Needs Improvement!

Great Location but very dirty. Stains on rugs, bathrooms was very messy, mold on the tiles and dust on the floors almost as though bathrooms wasn't cleaned for a while. We even had plumbing issues while we were there!!!

Do Not Stay Here

My family had 4 rooms reserve, we asked can we all be on the same floor next to each other. 2 was on the 1st floor and 2 was on the 3rd floor. When me and another family member got to our room on the 3rd floor the floor was dirty, so we recommend getting another room. They put us on the 1st floor with the rest of the family but we was not together. Later that night my room was leaking, so I had to change room again. The next day two of my family rooms toilet was back up. They did not change our sheets, the rooms had a foul oder to them, the bathroom tub was nasty. This is the worst hotel I ever stayed in. when I booked this hotel I thought I was booking the one by the Convention Center, cause that was the one I stayed in 2 years ago. I do not recommend this hotel to anyone, if anyone booked here get your money back, and do it QUICK. I give this hotel a F-.

Resort Fee

The Howard Johnson Inn International will charge you a resort fee for each night you stay which is not included in the hotels.com price. Electric outlets did not work. Rooms are very small. For $5 more we stayed at a Hilton the next night which was much, much nicer. Their are so many hotels in the area...keep looking

Awful Place

This hotel was horrible, you drive up and the worst looking one on the block is it. The person checking me in was very rude. The hotel room smelled really bad, one of the wallpapers was coming off and the lamp was not working properly. You had to jump on the bed for it to go on and off. Then I went to check out the hotel's fitness room. It smelled as well and most equipment was broken. The bathroom in the fitness room was nasty, it had doodoo stains on it and it was clogged up, my friend took a picture of it. Anyway it was so bad we all decided to go somewhere else, didn't mind losing the money cuz it was just that horrible. I have lived in the ghetto and that hotel looked worse than other places I have seen. Save your money please.

NEEDS BIG IMPROVEMENT

ROOM SERVICE WAS HORRIBLE, ROOM WAS NOT CLEANED PROPERLY, FACE BASIN WAS DIRTY, AND BATHTUB, ALSO A/C WAS NOT COOL ENOUGH. IT WAS HORRIBLE. I WOULD NOT RECOMMEND MY "Dog" TO STAY THERE. VERY POOR ,EVEN FRONT OFFICE WAS POOR BECAUSE WE COMPLAINED ABOUT THE ROOM AND THEY TOLD US THEY WERE OVERBOOKED AND COULD DO NOTHING. i BOOKED THIS RES. WAY IN ADVANCE AND WAS VERY DISAPPOINTED. THEY WONT BE SEEING ME NOR ANYONE FOR ME AGAIN.
