Donald would not be happy

As far as the room goes it was great, as far as the service goes it was bad! Every time we called either the reception desk or the concierge no one would answer EVER! Asked the concierge to make us a dinner reservation (in person) and it was never made. Housekeeping doesn't really care that it says "do not disturb". The icing on the cake is when I got my car back from valet and they broke the electric side panel to my adjustable seat. The valet department didn't care and had me fill out some bogus report with security who cared equally as much. I really wanted to like this place but my whole experience from start to finish was bad. For that kind of money STAY SOMEWHERE ELSE!

Excessive Exterior Noise on "City Side"

My room was on the 19th floor and it was spectacular. The architectural design of the hotel was excellent. They took extensive steps to ensure that no hallway or adjacent room noise was heard in the rooms. The exterior noise was excessive, however. The nearby rail line is very active and the train horn is blown at least once per hour, every hour. Also, motorcycles and loud trucks are easily heard. This is a beautiful hotel with impressive cleanliness and attention to detail. I recommend not staying on the "City Side."

No Casino

Although it is nice to come back to a quiet room, I missed there not being a casino in this hotel. My husband wanted to turn in early, and I either had to go back to the casino-less hotel with him, or return later by myself. Also, perhaps this is a new hotel, but many little things didn't work; the jacuzi, a light, the "magic mirror" in the bathroom - just little things.

Lack of customer service

Pros: -Got a great price -Has a kitchenette in each room -T.V. in the bathroom -Non-smoking Cons: -absolutely NO customer service/hospitality -stained sheets -used coffee filter in coffee maker upon arrival -windows dirty -shower door broken -water takes forever to heat up in shower -bathroom missing towels upon arrival -hair dryer thrown in cabinet, not wrapped and put away upon arrival -restaurant: salt shaker cracked, crumbs all over the booth Basically, this hotel was worth it because of the money. However, it did not live up to the Trump name. There was a complete lack of customer service and hospitality. We had just gotten married a few days before (at the Ritz in Henderson) and no one seemed to care. Not that I expected anything but at least they could say congratulations or be a little bit grateful that we decided to spend our first week as man and wife in their hotel. We would not stay at this hotel the next time we visit Vegas. I would rather pay more money and stay at a hotel that is detail oriented.

Not Impressed

I booked this hotel for my parents' trip to Vegas since it has a 5 star rating, but they were not impressed. First, my dad was shocked that there was no casino (I should've looked this up) so it wasn't convenient for him to drive to other casinos to play, especially when it's late at night. Second, even though the room was spacious, their friends were staying at the hotel across the street and had a substantially bigger and nicer room. Third, there is no self parking - you always have to go through valet which made my parents feel like it was a hassle to come and go (plus, having to tip each time). To sum it up, a nice hotel, just wasn't as fancy or impressive as they thought it would be.

Beware That "Suites" Are Rooms Not Suites!

I have stayed at this property in the past, and I thought I'd take a quick vacation to L.V., especially since the rates were low due to the rescession. Since I had to have a traveling companion, the rate for a "suite" was especially attractive. Surprise! What they call a suite is what they called a regular room 9 months earlier. All of the space, with the exception of the bathroom, is in one room. If you are taking someone with you and expect privacy, don't. Also, they charge you internet access PER UNIT rather than PER ROOM. When I inquired about this internet charge during checkin, they said the internet charge was per room; when I got the bill, I was billed twice a day for internet access. I had to contact the front desk twice before they took the charges off. The front desk clerk was snippy, stating "Remember next time it's per laptop." I don't think there will be a next time Missy!

Substandard service

Disinterested and ill-informed staff. 4 staffers in spa could not tell me about the dining room - two said there was no dining that served breakfast or lunch - only dinner! Staff just didn't seem interested - not customer service oriented at all! However, the room was very quiet and comfortable.

Service Not Up to Par

For a five star hotel I expect excellent service that actually exceeds my expectations. I choose this hotel for a business trip because it does not have a casino and is off strip. When I arrived at midnight after a long flight for a meeting in the morning i was told there was a 15 resort fee. For a co worker and i this meant $60 extra dollars for a trip. On top of the resort fee, there is a $12 a day internet fee. For a business traveler, i do not need "resort" services, i need a nice place to sleep. Trump advertsies better than usual concierge services as well. When I asked for a sushi recomendation the concierge gave me three choisec and had no idea about the restaurants other than that one was formal. Finally, after my conference i came back to my room at 4pm and it hadn't been cleaned. The room was VERY nice and perfect for a long business stay, however the service was not 5*.

Just a tower of rooms !

The Trump Hotel is nothing but a tower of rooms. Unlike the other casinos on the strip .. which is booming with activity at the Casinos, restaurants, shopping etc. The Trump is nothing but a condo tower. However, I must mention that the rooms are very nice .. very comfy. And it (atleast the 1-bed room unit) comes with a full kitchen and 2 separate bath rooms.

very disappointed

I was excited to try to the Trump in Las Vegas on a recent business trip. It's a small hotel and non-gaming, which I knew going in, but figured since I was mostly going to be in meetings, it would be okay. What I didn't count on was the fact that there's only one restaurant. (Also a bistro, but it's poolside and not serving dinner as far as I know.) That restaurant was very good for breakfast both mornings, but didn't seem impressive at all, so we walked down the street and across the Strip to the Wynn and ate there. The room furniture was unimpressive. Chipped, worn, scratched up chairs and a very uncomfortable bed. The kitchenette was a nice surprise, but I didn't use it. Big bathroom, but I was horrified to discover that housekeeping didn't even flush the toilet when they supposedly cleaned up. Refreshed the towels, arranged my toothpaste on the counter, but didn't touch the WC. Made me wonder whether they'd changed the sheets or simply remade the bed. Coming back from my conference the first day I discovered I'd left my key in the room. There was a long line at reception for people checking in so I went to the concierge / bell station to see if they could help me out. I was coldly informed that I'd have to wait in line with everyone else, even though there were two bellman at the station, neither occupied with a guest. Couldn't they have gone behind the desk and figured something out for me? Could they have at least been apologetic and said they were sorry but that would have to be done at the front desk? Nope, I got the standard "I just work here" attitude. Really unimpressed by this Trump property. Had heard it was a high caliber hotel with excellent service, but not my experience at all.

They Nickel and Dime you to Death!

There were a ton of additional charges once we got there. There is only valet available which takes forever to get your car and costs money for every day you are there. The room was nice, but housekeeping did not do a very good job of cleaning it each day. Not really worth the money, it was a major hassle.

Needs Improvement

My husband and I stayed at Trump for 1 night for a mini vacation. We chose Trump because the price was great for a 5 star property. Check in went ok since I was prepared for the $15/night Resort Fee that I read from previous reviews but the front desk agent told us it was a Non-Smoking property about 5 times during check in. We don't smoke, never have, so that was weird. The room was nice, tub was perfect for 2. Bed was comfortable. Convient location for the Fashion Show Mall. Beware of the valet only option. We waited 30 Minutes for our car, we were 15 minutes late for our dinner reservation. We went out to lunch on the day of our check out. We got back to the hotel at 3:30PM (Check out is 4PM) to get our bags. We were locked out of our room, we saw a Security Guard and he assisted and said that the hotel always deactivates the key about an hour before check out. That doesn't make sense. While we got our bags, we called the Valet desk to let them know we were coming down and to bring our car out front. We check out and got down stairs about 10 minutes later to find the they didn't even mark that we called. We waited about 20 more minutes for our car. I would not stay here again, customer service is not very good, the front Valet is a complete mess!

overpriced, need better staff,

beware of resort fee every day per person charged to your room. this is a ripe-off. it's not a resort it's a hotel. beware of the $250 room deposit per person. another ripe-off! beware of conceigne service that is totally clueless to what's going on in vegas, where to go in vegas, and they lack professionlism. they should be called guest services. limited dining with 1 resturant. 1 bar in lobby. get this cup of coffee $5! no comp coffee in lobby! housekeeping half clean room and dishes! gross! trump has got some improving to do! now the build is nice, fitness center is nice, and bellmen are good! other than those 3 all else is not worth the money and time! next time i go to vegas i'm staying in the wynn!
