Trip Type: Romance Review 3 of 706Best Deal Around
If you don't mind a no frills lobby, this hotel is the best deal around. I can't vouch for the other rooms in the hotel, but the one we stayed in was very clean and unbelievably spacious. We had two bedrooms, two baths, a small dining area and large living room. WOW, what a treat! All within walking distance to Central Park and great restaurants. All of the staff was extremely helpful and courteous as well. I will definitely stay here again during our next trip to NYC.

Trip Type: Business Review 5 of 706Outstanding, older hotel
This is the second time in the past year I have stayed at the Salisbury Hotel through Hotels.com. Both times I have thoroughly enjoyed it. It is a very comfortable hotel that while a tad "worn" in places, is nonetheless EXTREMELY comfortable, clean, nicely staffed and situated in a vibrant neighborhood. Each time, I was upgraded to a large, well-equipped suite, an amazing value for the price. The only drawback is that rooms on the street side are noisy.....but earplugs can help that. I always look for this hotel on Hotel.com's website when booking a room, and am disappointed when it is not available for the dates I travel.

Trip Type: Not Provided Review 8 of 706Breakfast woes
The room is just fine, bed comfy, everything clean. A breakfast voucher is slipped under the door, you go to the 3rd floor and find out it's $6 per person. After scalding my tongue on the first sip of coffee (in a paper cup), I left without eating any of the sugary donuts or bagels, without cream cheese. It's NY, how could there not be cream cheese with the bagels? Otherwise, it was fine.

Trip Type: Overnight Stay Review 10 of 706Great hotel
The location of this hotel is outstanding without being one of the priciest hotels in NYC. It is walking distance to Broadway, Central park and shopping The lobby was disappointing but the rooms were fine.

The hotel is older but is kept up very well. We found everything very comfortable and suitable for a weekend in New York. The front desk and concierge were very helpful.

Trip Type: Business Review 12 of 706Well Kept Secert
The Salisbury Hotel experiance was great. I was unsure of what I was getting when I booked it,since the price was so great. I did not expect a very "great" hotel. But is an outstanding Hotel. I was given a choice of room location..noesy Street or quiet back..I took quiet. Room much large than expected, for a 2 double room. Large closet, Kitenet area with fridge, mircowave and coffepot. Bathroom very satisfactory. Bedroom had 2 double beds,2 easy chairs, a desk and chair, and a large dresser. It was located within easy walking distance to many attractions and transprtation : subway, buses, and cabs. I felt very safe at night walking around the neighborhood. I will definatly stay their again and recommend it to friends

The hotel is not for those who stay at the usual chain hotels -not expensively renovated. It does provide everything you require in large rooms that are spotless. The location is great.
