Trip Type: Romance Review 1 of 36Wonderful
My spouse and I stayed there for a special Labor Day rate and really enjoyed the hotel. The staff was very courteous, the bed was very comfortable, and the location was great to walk to main attractions. We would stay there again.

Trip Type: Not Provided Review 4 of 36Great hotel
We stayed at this hotel on Halloween night. The rooms aren't very big, however, it did have a comfortably luxurious king size bed. The shower was awesome, with four shower heads. Would definetly stay here again.

Trip Type: Family Review 7 of 36Didn't meet up to our expectations....
Well.... I thought the room was quite small for the price we paid....the bed was AWESOME and so was th TV....I didnt care for the knobs in the shower..to hard to get right temperature..and we were not restocked fully with our daily bathroom washcloths or handtowels..which i did expect...there were no softdrink or snack machines anywhere in the hotel..just ice... and the pool was not heated as expected and was to cold to get in..and the hottub was not working.... so that left little to do with the little one during our stay there.... We did enjoy the lovely large lounge area around the pool and chose to spend time there rather in the small room.. the lamp beside our bed did not work.. but was promptly fixed when I mentioned it..and there was no little coffee maker in the room either... which I thought was strange for such an upscale room. It is a beautiful hotel and we stayed there when it was the Fairmont..and I dont remember having these issues...not sure we will choose this one when we return to N. O.

Trip Type: Special Event Review 8 of 36Just short of Great
Did not like not having a coffee maker in the room. Did not like windowless location for fitness room. Fitness room access difficult because of construction. Flexible hose shower head could not be secured at upper points on the slide bar because it wouldn't grip bar properly. Shower heads and plumbing not tightened resulting in several leaks spraying about. Waste basket in bathroom in bad location and too large, pushing against your right leg when seated on toilet. No top floor view location/cocktail lounge. Great bed and great TV. Food pricey. Room a little small for the price paid. Liked pool (but it is small), pool terrace area, and terrace bar, but hot tub broken. Elevators seemed old and creaky. One elevator (has cracked lobby button) sometimes went to random locations when lobby button pushed (reported by several different guests, including us). Elevator buttons for 4th floor on all elevators labeled pool and tennis. There is no tennis. Staff extremely friendly and helpful-- best I have encountered anywhere. Very elegant hotel. Sazarac restaurant excellent. Didn't try others. Hotel offered free shoeshine if put shoes in box in closet. No box was in closet. Asked for box. None ever appeared.

Bed was so comfortable - flat screen tv - many faucets in the shower close to Bourbon Street.

Trip Type: With Friends Review 12 of 36Housekeeping needs to improve but other areas were outstanding
The tub in our room was dingy/grimey - we called housekeeping to have it cleaned - it looked worse after the maid let the cleaner run down the shower wall creating clean streaks into the tub. Called the housekeeping manager to the room who immediately stated that she "wouldn't get into that tub either" - then she had it thoroughly cleaned the right way by the maid. There weren't any washcloths in our room on arrival night. The shower head is a rainshower model with very low water pressure. It takes far too long for the hot water to arrive at the sink faucet - wasting a resource. It was obvious a drink had been sprayed on the wall in the room by a previous guest. Mid stay the rug in the bathroom was removed for two nights. Also mid stay there weren't any washcloths left in the room - repeated calls to Guest Services didn't produce the washcloths until the next day. Only one elevator in the bank of three worked in our tower. On the positive side, the hotel is beautiful, the beds are very comfortable. The Concierge staff was outstanding - acquiring our reservations at all the restaurants we requested - and very knowledgeable. Room service was promptly delivered within the time frame provided, the food both from room service (late night) and in the hotel's restaurant for breakfast was excellent. The front desk, bar, restaurant, and bell staff all were very friendly and welcoming providing excellent service. Please improve the housekeeping, and I would stay at this hotel again.
