A cheap place with adequate bed and A/C close to Bourbon Street. Recommended for the young and active. Covered parking is free.

Ok, so maybe its a shady area of town. maybe there are drug dealers all around. if your just going to new orleans to get drunk and have a place to pass out. this is the place. stayed on 420 and staying again very very soon. worth the money imo. i reccomend to people in my age area. im 21 and loved it. enjoy.

Trip Type: Not Provided Review 4 of 90GREAT DEAL!!
I was a little worried about staying here after I had read some of the other reviews, but I was extremely surprised when we arrived. This hotel is a great deal!! It is located right on the trolley line with a car stop just across the street. The room was clean and nice and cool. Other reviews reported that the hallways leading to the rooms were hot and this was true but the room was always comfy! There was another review that said the elevators smelled of urine.... NOT TRUE! The front desk employees were very nice and helpful. The French Quarter is about six blocks away. All in all this was wonderful experience and I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone who is looking for a good place to stay and not go broke doing it!Hopefully we will be staying here again in September.

Trip Type: Business Review 6 of 90A place to stay...
The service was pretty good. Had a couple problems with our rooms(shower drains), and they were quickly fixed. "Continental Breakfast", however, was just coffee and doughnuts, so plan to go somewhere for breakfast. Hotel was in a great location, but somewhat bad area. If you stay here, don't expect too much. Hotel is getting better with improvements, but still has a lot of work to go. Also, if you stay here, be sure to plan your activities around certain times. Make sure you stay in a group, get back to the hotel somewhat early for the night, and stay there until morning. Great for a place to stay if your only there for a night or two. Not a family hotel, or one to bring your wife or girlfriend to.

Trip Type: With Friends Review 8 of 90Great room for the money
After reading some of the reviews I was skeptical on staying at this hotel. I was plesantly surprised. It was not the dump that I half expected it to be. Walking through the strange hallway to our room felt like a sauna with hot air blowing out at you, but the room was nice and cool. The tub drain blocked up, but they fixed it. The room was comfortable and clean. The area is a bit detached from the French Quarter. Even being two ladies staying by ourselves walking through the area to the Quarter was not too bad during the day, not too bad at night either; but we mostly opted to catch a trolley or 8 dollar cab ride to where we needed to be. I would stay there again, for the money I saved.

Trip Type: Special Event Review 10 of 90IT WILL DO
This hotel will do for a duck off from friends and family. Belive me no one would even think of looking for you here. The down side is the night i checked in and went to park a lot of people was haning out on the stairs. I found some hanging out in the front, this give the hotel a unclear picture of trust.

Everything was good but need to note that parking is extra and is not included in room price $6.00 per day.

It was ok. The lady at the desk was nice; however the manager seemed to take every incident in the hotel personal. The room was clean, no bugs or awful smell. You can see where the restoration of the hotel needs to be done but you get what you payed for.

If your on a budget this is the place for being close to downtown, Please remember you have to pay to park at any motel in town this was the cheapest place $6.00 a night/day and is non refundable.

Trip Type: With Friends Review 15 of 90Great Location, Great Price
This hotel is about a ten minute walk from Bourbon St. and the French Quarter (which is awesome since parking at the hotel is only about $12) and the rooms are super cheap. Moreover, the staff is very friendly (they actually recognize me now--I've stayed there about 4 times in the last 6 months). The hotel is a bit banged up, but the rooms themselves are clean. Also, the neighborhood is a bit sketchy, but unless you're staying in the heart of the Quarter, that's to be expected. In short, the hotel is by no means classy, but I've been more than satisfied for the price.
