Trip Type: With Friends Review 3 of 46Not that impressed...
It was okay, but the rooms were not as nice as they appear in the photos and the place is a little run down. They don't provide you with any information in your room about the hotel layout or amenities - it may be worth $30 a night - but not more than that! - Further from the strip than i realized.

Trip Type: Special Event Review 5 of 46Sam's Town is not what it used to be.
The check-in and check out lines were outragous. As I was obviously and awkwardly pregnant at the time I expected to be offered some help with our luggage or at least a cart but no such luck. I was however, given the farthest room at the end of a very long hall. The restaurants in the hotel are rather pricy and the TGIFridays is a definate must avoid. Saying what they got right about the meal and service would take less time than what they did wrong. I did not try the buffet so I cannot comment on it but I hope it was better than the sit down restaurants. The room was spotless, and the bed nice and firm, but there was only a half-size comforter on the bed and only three pillows for a two person king. We were informed that we could only have another two pillows, and frankly I expect that kind of behavior out of a motel six and not a nice theme hotel in Vegas. I do have to say that the extra pillows were delivered promptly. The AC in the room was not functioning anywhere near as well as it should have, but as I didn't mention it to the staff I cannot comment on how fast they would have been to fix it. I was so exhausted after the long check-in and treck to the room I was not about to deal with moving rooms. My suggestion to you is that you spend a little extra and get a nicer hotel. If you have stayed at Sam's town in the past, you won't know it now.

Trip Type: Not Provided Review 6 of 46bathroom
I was disappointed when entering the bathroom, the tiolet was'nt cleaned. There was a pair of men's boxer shorts hanging from the bathroom door hook. Open safty pin laying in the fllor of the room. When checking out there was a additional hotel service fee, for unlimited local calls , shuttle service which we never used.

Trip Type: With Friends Review 9 of 46Horrible room
Room phone does not work, engineer shows up to replace. Ac monitor indicates it is not working, ac filter is filthy. Engineer shows back up to repair the ac and replace filter. Now I notice that the sheets on one of the beds has holes. This is all at midnight. Next morning there is NO HOT WATER for the shower. The entire third floor has no hot water. Stay away from Sam's Town

Trip Type: Family Review 10 of 46Not a Bad Place on A Dime
Sam's Town has a great look and feel from the inside. Wild West without the "schtick". Room was satisfactory, but not mind blowing. Bed was hard, sheets and towels were starchy. This was a good value for the price, but would not recommend it for "off-strip" or for a Grand Canyon stop over. Other options just off strip or closer to Boulder City with just as good price and options.

Trip Type: Family Review 11 of 46Resort Fee
I wish they would not add a resort fee and just charge the fee up front. I did get a good price and the hotel is nice but I don't like comparing prices and find the hotels that charge $5 more are not charging you an extra fee , and I have no idea what they charge me a fee for when I didn't use any of the facilities. I could have gone to hotels as nice for less money. If you realize they are going to charge you and add the extra price in then the hotel is nice and has a lot to offer. I just wish they were honest!

Too loud, too smoky, and too far from anything else. We would stay closer to the strip next visit.....

Trip Type: Not Provided Review 13 of 46Nice Hotel
I was disappointed in the cost for the hotel but needed to be at that location. Some of the other hotels in the area were better priced for their location. The staff were very good and should be given a High Five.

Trip Type: Business Review 14 of 46Needs improvement
Not the classiest of hotels... but it was chosen for the location, as I needed to be at that end of Las Vegas. One good point was the free shuttle to the Strip. That was another reason we chose it. Buffet food did not look good at all, so we had to eat elsewhere...

Trip Type: Family Review 15 of 46Mixed Reaction
While our experience with Sam's Town (Las Vegas) was fine, my daughter and her family who was with us, did not have such a good time. She had paid for a non smoking room with two beds, what she got was a very smelly smoking room. Even though the hotel was clearly not sold out the front desk refused to move her. They told her that paying for a specific room meant nothing, she had a sick child and yet the hotel refused to help. I think this is very poor customer service. In a nearly empty hotel of that size they could have moved her to another room with out any problem, the rooms were sitting empty anyway what did it matter who used them.
