Trip Type: Special Event Review 2 of 6Not for families with young children; Beware of one front desk staff
I would say that this is an ok hotel but not for everybody. We are a family with two young children - 2 yrs old and 8 months old. We had a few bad experiences but there are also good things to say. Good: 1. Housekeeping is great - fast and delivered all our requests. 2. Nice crib for our 8-month old. It is not the usual pack-and-play. It is big, sturdy and easy to move around. 3. Large area - the bedroom is separate from the sitting area. Bad: 1. One front desk personnel was rude when I said all of a sudden, all our 3 room keys (kept by different people) stopped working. She insisted it is because we put them in our purse. She gave me a new set of keys and without putting them in my purse, I tried them all - nothing worked. Someone else had to re-program the keys before they worked. I came back to the person to say that the problem has nothing to do with where I put my cards and she said, well, that's what we were supposed to say. (Definitely not the type of service I want from a hotel staff.) This whole process took a while and if I didn't have any other family staying in another room, it would be a disaster with two young children. 2. Food court is not accessible when you are with children. 3. Not much to do in the hotel if you don't gamble. Bad/Good: 1. Confusion with valet parking but valet staff was nice and helped resolve the issue.

Trip Type: Romance Review 3 of 6Need to improve
The hotel is under construction. No place to eat. Very far away from everything. Could not get the air conditioning to work. People were very unhelpful and not very friendly.

Trip Type: Family Review 4 of 6Good hotel but bed needs replacement
The room was great. The bed definitely needs improvement. We used both the rollaway bed in the living room and the one that came with the suite we booked. Both beds were not comfortable at all. We woke up with a backache. For a four stars hotel, I'd expect the bed to be comfortable. The hotel does not have a steam room which most 4 stars would come with it. The jacuzzi was great though.

Trip Type: Romance Review 5 of 6Overall was Ok.
Overall the hotel was nice. We ended up paying to upgrade from a "city" view to a "marina" view. Due to the fact that we looked out and saw a roof for our view. Paying for the upgrade to a different room, was not worth it at all. All you see is the barges going and the airplanes landing at the airport. The room itself was nice and casino was very clean. It is very nice to go into a casino and not smell like cigarrette smoke when you leave. All though they did have some crazy gambling rules. I would recommed this hotel when all of the construction in and around the hotel is complete. The other thing that really upset my husband, was where there on a Saturday and they had NO football playing on any TV and they had no sports bar. We thought it was a little unusual that a casino did not have any football on, even in Canada. Not one football game all weekend long. Overall, good hotel stay...ask me about Vancouver and its a whole other story.

Trip Type: Overnight Stay Review 6 of 6Wouldn't recommend for US travelers
The room was fine, but both times I had food at the hotel, it was incredibly sub-par... both in their casino area and in their "fancy" restaurant (don't remember the name.) Only one of the elevators was working, and the cashiers in the casino had strict, unfriendly exchange rate policies. In general, all other US travelers seemed to be put off by the amount of crazy rules that Canada apparently has regarding casinos.
