Trip Type: Special Event Review 4 of 84very pleasant stay
the hotel was clean and pleasant and the staff couteous. They did not advertise that they have a free breakfast, which would have been nice to know ahead of time. Also the hotel is not overlooking Forest Park, which I had thought it was. It's about two blocks away Overall though it was a very nice place.

The Parkway is a great hotel. Staff is extremely friendly and helpful. Location is great, love the Applebee's right in the hotel. We will absolutely be back!

Trip Type: Overnight Stay Review 6 of 84A pleasant enough stay
While the hotel is located on a busy street near a large hospital, which makes it a bit noisy if you are on the street side of the hotel, you are in a neighborhood that has lots of eateries nearby and the park isn't too far away. The room was comfortable and clean and there was free ethernet. The doors to other rooms are very loud when they close, so in the morning you hear lots of people going in and out of their rooms. The only really disappointing thing about this hotel was the breakfast. It wasn't very good, a standard selection but poorly prepared, and it is located in a corner of the lobby so that everybody is bunched together to get to the food. The tables are actually out in the lobby and there aren't enough. Many people had to sit on couches and balance their plates in their laps. Inexplicably, the coffee and tea is far from the breakfast display. So, mediocre to bad food and a totally impracticle set up for breakfast.

Trip Type: Business Review 7 of 84Best Experience from a Hotel
Wow! We had read the reviews before we came to The Parkway Hotel. It exceeded our expectations. The staff was so friendly. Our room was neat, comfortable, and quiet. I have never slept so well at a hotel before. My husband loved the cookies they had every evening as well as the breakfast. Can't say enough.

Trip Type: Business Review 8 of 84Outstanding Hotel
We were there for my daughter;s ingerview for Wash U medical school. Th staff could not have been more helpful or friendly. The room was clean and the beds were comfortable. They now offer a complimentary breakfast which was unquestionably one of the best in the category. Parking was reasonable and convenient. Anyone with any business witht he medical center should consider this hotel.

Trip Type: Romance Review 10 of 84Quiet
Hotel was quiet. 307 is a handicap room. Closet space was limited and odd. 3rd floor access to parking garage was nice. Shower was like being drizzled on. Catholic Cathedral is beautiful and close.

Trip Type: Special Event Review 14 of 84Excellent service
The staff was exceptionally professional and friendly, and the rooms and common areas were appealing, clean, and well cared for. The Forest Park neighborhood is a treat too- the park itself is gorgeous (completely changed my opinion of the city overall) and there are great ethnic cuisine restauraunts just a block from the hotel. Two items to consider: if you want a view, ask for it. We didn't care and so didn't ask, and the window did indeed open to the parking garage. Also, if you are planning on being out quite late downtown, plan ahead for cab fare of at least $15 back to the hotel.
