First- there was a strong baby powder smell all over the place. We had to ask for blankets for the sofa bed- waited 20 min still not there. Had to go to the lobby and the hostest forgot. As well as the breakfast- which is the reason we chose to stay there was very disappointed. They didn't have any of the items to eat that they post on their site. Will not stay there again. We were in Orlando in Sept and stayed at the Springhill Mar which we will stay on our next visit.

Trip Type: Overnight Stay Review 2 of 13you get what you pay for
Check in took too long, nobody wanted to help. The room was too small, and had a strange odor to it, but it was clean!. Might be able to do better with some extra effort as there are MANY hotels and motels to choose from in this area.

The hotel was nice, older but nice. The guest, children, pretty much had a free for all in the hotel. The pool was unsupervised and kids were throwing food and spilling drinks in the pool. Someone pulled the fire alarm at 1am and there was no staff around to assure the guests it was someone fooling around. They did not know how to get on the internet. It was a nice room for the price but next time we will pay more to get away from type of people who stayed at this hotel.

Trip Type: Family Review 5 of 13Good for the price, but one staff unprofessional
Overall the hotel is okay for the price. The main problem is the customer service at the hotel. Myself and two other guests waited for 10 minutes to have someone show up at the front desk for us to check in. The girls were polite, but the guy who service guests at night during my stay was very rude!

Trip Type: Family Review 6 of 13Cheap but horrible
The bed is terrible. I complained the bed has no spring in the morning, and they said if I would leave there was nothing they can do. Even they didn't say sorry for it.

Trip Type: Business Review 7 of 13Not great
The elevator in the hotel smell like mold. Inside my non smoking room, the bathroom reeked of smoke. The rest of the room was fine. The breakfast didn't have much to choose from. I would not recommend to a friend.

Trip Type: Family Review 8 of 13Very average hotel
The hotel staff was very accommodating. However the rooms needed to be upgraded and the bathroom floors needed to be scrubbed down. I would not return to this hotel.

Trip Type: Not Provided Review 9 of 13Good for the price I paid
This Hawthorn was OK considering what I paid on Hotels.com. The shower faucet was difficult to work, either too hot or too cold. I know it's included in the price but they sort of just phoned in the breakfast buffett. (Sausage Gravy but No Biscuits!) Finally, whoever heard of a Hotel that does not have an ice machine for guest use? We had to ask a special favor to get some ice from the breakfast kitchen. Average hotel but there are much better values in the neighborhood, just check Hotels.com

Trip Type: With Friends Review 10 of 13Good value for the money
I stayed at this hotel about 4 year ago and returned 2 weeks ago Aug 20-27th. The hot breakfast used to have more selections. My breakfast was the same for 3-4 mornings straight. It was so boring and there is not enough space for sitting inside. However the breakfast staff was very orderly and friendly, they kept the food area very clean. Their great service was the highlight of the breakfast. Kind of surprised that Guest Serv person did not know where the Official Orlando Visitor Center was located..it was on I-Drive..down the street??? Night check-in staff person was great but day shift was OK. The room still nice they re-deco, but read the sign in bathroom, they only change your sheets every other day..hmmmmm..they conserve..might be a plus for some people. Overall..good value for the money. Ok for second go around at hotel..will probably stay at another place that has hot breakfast.

Trip Type: Family Review 12 of 13Staff, food and accommodation need improvment
We booked 3 non-smoking rooms for our party. One room turned out to be a smoking room which was obviously unacceptable but no effort was made to amend the problem despite calling 2-3 times. Additionally, all 3 rooms were on different floors. Not a huge deal, just inconvenient. The hotel didn't seem that busy!!! The breakfast food quality I would class as poor. Not impressed at all. The entire hotel could do with an interior face lift. Given that, the location was good. Thankfully we didn't have to spend much of the day in the hotel. We wouldn't go back, or recommend it.
