Hotel room

We stayed in a King Suite. The a/c unit in the bedroom was very loud and interuppted our sleep during the evening when it turned on. There wasn't much counter space in the kitchen and room service never came to make the bed and give fresh towels(we stayed two nights). It was okay, but I'm not sure I would book there again.

Beautiful View, Needs Improvement Elsewhere

The view from the hotel room was outstanding; couldn't have been better. The shower did not work properly. The gauge went from too hot to too cold. Trying to get it in the middle turned the water pressure off altogether. Parking was atrocious! The water amenities were all too small.

Needs improvements

Beds were uncomfortable. No restaurant. Dirty curtains. Parking was fine. I had read about parking issues. We had none. Pools were overloaded with chemicals especially the jacuzzi

Comfortable hotel

Overall the hotel and staff were both nice. The parking however was horrible. And if you are looking for a quiet and romantic getaway, don't go here in the summer.

Very Busy

We were there for one night. It was awful due to someone coming into our room and stealing personal belongings. My purse, a cross necklace that belonged to my deceased Mom, other jewelry that belonged to me and my daughter. My cell phone was also taken. My daughter had one necklace only for two hours that her Dad just bought her. That teenage girl and everyone was very upset. We were there to celebrate my Husband and Daughter's birthday. Filed a report with the Hotel and did not feel any compassion from the Manager. The gentlemen taking the report was very nice. Everything was done standing in the lobby. I could not sleep alnight and wanted to go home.

Needs Improvement

First of all we thought we were getting a Condo and this by no means was a condo. I think we had full beds which were to small for 4 adults. Got no sleep. Refrigerator did not work at all and we had to keep getting ice for the food we brought. Didn't report it because we were there for one night and knew it could not be fixed while we were there. Would not have been room for a reapair to be in there with the 4 of us.

Redneck Riviera

The quality of hotel was less than desired. Rooms were dated and furniture was not comfy. Pool features were pretty cool. I did like the music that could be heard while in the pool areas. They need a LOT more people at the front desk to handle the number of guests in this massive property.

Unexpected Change of Plans

We were unable to make our reservation due to our son getting sick. Unfortunately, that is something we could not control and I made several attempts to cancel the reservation. I was told by the hotel, that I had to deal directly with Hotels.com. I initally had been dialing an incorrect number, which I thought was Hotels.com, but I think is was actually a Compass Cove reservation line, but they led me to believe they were with Hotels.com. When I finally figured it out, they hung up on me. When I reached a Hotels.com agent, he was extremely nice and helpful. He was told by Compass Cove that he had to speak with a manager. I never found out if my reservation was cancelled or not.

Compass Cove

I stayed at the Compass Cove with my daughter. The parking lot in front of the hotel was always full and we ended up having to park aross the street in their other lot. The road was very busy and there was not a cross walk so walking to and from the car was a huge risk. The pool was usually filled with rowdy, unsupervised kids. My daughter said the arcade was closed over an hour early on Friday night. We ate breakfast at the diner at the hotel- the eggs & bacon were okay but the rest was pretty bad. The hotel was right on the beach and not terribly far from the places we went. The hotel staff took care of any and all problems quickly. The room was clean and comfortable. The biggest problem was parking.
