Trip Type: Overnight Stay Review 2 of 43GROSS feeling!
The minute you walk into the lobby the smell hits you! Pictures in this case do not speak for them selves. Decor is not bad, but the quality is unsatisfactory. Elevators need a tune up! I felt gross having to sleep in the bed. I though hotel was ON THE BEACH. Not the building we stayed in. WOuld not recommend. very disappointed.

Trip Type: Romance Review 4 of 43Be careful
Photos show hotel "on the beach" but they have the other hotel across the street & ended up there. After inspecting the 1st room with a headboard torn off the wall, dirty, balcony door welded shut, we were given an Executive Suite. No bathtub drain stop & water did not drain - up past your ankles. Food under the bed, no refill coffee cups the 2nd day, didn't look like the mopped the bathroom floor very much. The ONLY thing is they have great beds & comforters.

Trip Type: Romance Review 6 of 43Careful: mold/mildew alert!
This is an old building with old fixtures that should have been replaced many years ago. The tub/shower was chocked full of mold/mildew and a simple cleaning would never fix the problem.

Entire hotel smelled of mildew had to leave the room and transfer to a new one. We weren't the only totally unsatisfied guests. Others were complaining about the same things.

Trip Type: Business Review 8 of 43Service needs improvement
I paid for a beachside room and was originally put in a room facing the road and parking lot with a non working TV and phone. I was moved to a beachside room the next day but was first sent to a room where someone was already staying and walked in on someone sleeping. Then when I finally got to a room that wasn't occupied but the door had to be opened by maintenance ramming it with their shoulder 3 times. Then the toilet overflowed all over the floor. When I requested a later checkout to accomodate my flight I was told that I would be charged an additional day...Needless to say I will not be staying at this hotel again. On a positive note the waitstaff at both the indoor and outdoor bar/resturant were very friendly.

Most of the hotel staff was pretty nice. However, on Sunday, when I requested soap and toilet paper for the poolside bathroom, the clerk at the front desk chewed me out because she said the lady who handled that task was too busy. The request was made around 3PM. At 10PM the bathroom was still empty of soap and toilet paper. Also, the hotel pool and bar is the hot spot for all the drunks in town who want to their kids to swim for free while they get drunk alongside the pool, and tapping their cigarette ashes as they stand smoking in the pool. If you stay here, come on a weekday - the staff was nicer and there were fewer local freeloading drunks. The location on the ocean is great.

Trip Type: With Friends Review 11 of 43DON'T RECOMEND THIS HOTEL
THE PASS KEY TO THE ROOM WOULD NOT WORK MOST OF THE TIME, AND HAD TO WAIT ALL THE TIME FOR SOMEONE TO OPEN THE DOOR. IT TOOK 3 DAYS FOR THE PROBLEM TO BE FIXED, AND THEN IT STARTED ACTING UP AGAIN BEFORE WE LEFT. THE HEAT DIDN'T WORK, THE BATHROOM LIGHT DIDN'T WORK AND TOOK 3 DAYS FOR THEM TO FIX THAT. THEY TRIED TO PUT ME IN A ROOM ACROSS THE STREET AND I HAD TO REALLY GET MAD BEFORE THEY SUDDENLY FOUND A NOTE THAT SAID I WAS ON THE BEACH SIDE, EVEN THOUGH I PAID MORE FOR THE BEACH SIDE IN THE FIRST PLACE. MANY MORE HOTELS IN THE AREA THAT ARE MUCH NICER FOR A FEW DOLLARS MORE. IT REALLY MADE A TRIP THAT I HAVE BEEN ON MANY TIMES TO THIS AREA MY WORSE TRIP. PICK ANOTHER HOTEL BESIDES THIS ONE

Trip Type: With Friends Review 15 of 43Make certain you have a room!
And by this comment, I mean that this hotel is notorious for overbooking!! We made a reservation in advance on Hotels.com, paid for the room, only to arrive and find that, (1) they didn't even have our reservation; and (2) they had overbooked the hotel and had no rooms available! They wanted to send us down the street to the Ramada. After much argument with the front desk and manager, and because we were there IN PERSON and other folks checking in were late, they decided to bump someone else that hadn't even arrived yet and give us that room. Thought that was a no-brainer! Thank goodness for Hotels.com. They faxed in our reservation proving that our credit card had already been charged for that room. (And standing in the lobby was no picnic either; the music they played was too loud. They played, what seemed like, top 40's pop, which contained some offensive language - very inappropriate for children.) Once in the room, the bathroom light flickered worse than a strobe light! There were holes in the wall where they, ingeniously, decided to put the microwave cord in order to plug it in. And don't plan on sleeping in; they come by to make up the rooms at 9:00 a.m.!! whether you're checking out or not! And, hopefully you have towels after they HAVE made up the room...otherwise, you'll have to sign for them. I would NOT recommend this hotel for anyone.
