no towels were ever delivered after cleaning even after i spoke to several front desk personel. also the large gap underneath the door let in unwanted light and noise they need to put a door sweep to cover the large two inch gap underneath the door to keep the noise and oders out of each room.

Maison Dupuy could be a very nice place to stay. Unfortunately, my experience at the hotel wasn't very satisfying. We paid for a “room with a view”, and we received a window looking into a concrete wall. If you’re given two free cocktails as a bonus for your stay, don’t be impressed. The choices are limited to bottom shelf booze or the ever mysterious “house wines” (Yellowtail?). Overall, it is an alright hotel, just don’t set high expectations.

The hotel was nicely maintained, the room met our expectations for the most part, and the service was good. However, the hotel charges an up-front deposit per each room for "incidentals," which may not ever be used by the guest. The hotel charges for parking, which we were unaware until arrival, and the charge for parking is outrageous. We have never before incurred parking charges for any hotel stay anywhere we have traveled. There is no coffee provided in the room, and the hotel charges $6.00 for a pot, plus a $4.00 "service" fee on top of that. We found it much cheaper to drink coffee outside of the hotel. We will never stay at this hotel again and will not recommend the hotel to anyone. The hotel may cut rates, but clearly they make up for the reduced rates by gouging the guests on everything else.

The room shown in the picture is not what you get for the price. The room you get with the discounted price is small and our room had a nice view of a parking lot. OUr bed had town sheets and the seats had stains. only after complaining and telling the front desk that we would have checked out after seeing our room did they attempt to put us where we would be happy. The third room was larger and at no additional charge. The hotel was convenient to Bourbon and the Quarter. I do not think we would go back to this hotel, no, actually I know we would not go back and by the way, parking is $36.00 per day!

We stayed there for three nights but were not impressed and will not stay there again. I reserved a room with the king size bed but received one with two full size beds and it took a while to change it. The stuff was not very friendly. On Saturday our room was not cleaned and towels not changed. On Sunday they turned off the boiler or something and the room was cold. It took few hours to fix it. We stayed in January in different hotel in the same area and with similar rates and had much, much better experience. Unfortunately they were booked.

The hotel was not as described. Poor condition, dirty room, extremely small bathroom.

Our assigned room had a nice balcony overlooking the courtyard and pool, but the room itself smelled like cigarettes, so we had to be switched to a different room, but the balcony overlooked the street instead. The bathroom was tiny with no place to put toiletries and the tub and toilet had seen better days. The walls in the room were old and looked dirty. The best thing was the bed. It was very comfortable. This was an anniversary trip for us, so we were looking for luxury. This hotel was definitely not it. Try the Olivier House Hotel instead up the street.

Trip Type: With Friends Review 12 of 19Nice Hotel, Just get back before dark.
The Maison Dupuy is a nice old hotel showing its age a bit. Very comfortable beds. Nice bar and restaurant. The staff was pleasant and helpful. Unfortunately it's located on the single-most-dangerous street in the French Quarter (Burgundy) according to recent crime statistics. So if you're staying there, it's worthwhile to be doubly aware of your surroundings if your returning to your hotel late at night.

Trip Type: With Friends Review 14 of 19Nice but could be cleaner
This is a good hotel, in a great location. We found the room full of dust and cob webs on the lamps. We asked to have the room cleaned again, which it was, but never even came close to cleaning the cob webs. Twice during our 4 night stay we did not get enough towels and were told they were being cleaned. They were brougth up after phone calls. We reserved 2 rooms; one of our room requests was not honored. After multiple discussions, the hotel did agree to refund the first night through Hotels.com and did move us to another room to accommodate us. The hotel tried hard to be accommodating.

I stayed 8 days at the Maison Dupuy from July 30th - August 6th for vacation. My room was incredibly small. The bathroom was a joke. I barely had room to turn around in it. There was maybe 1 picture on the walls. Very barren looking. No mini-bar or pay-for-view. However, the bed was the most comfortable bed I had ever experienced in a hotel. The room service menu was too limited. The staff was friendly. Parking was almost $ 30 day. Not worth the money to stay here. There are much grander hotels in New Orleans for the same rate. Would not stay here again.
