Ok for one night

Check in went smoothly and got room keys 2 hours earlier than the check it time. Room was ok for one nights stay but would not stay longer than that. The weather was on the warmer side and the air conditioner did not work properly. Had the temp. turned down to the coldest setting with no change in temp. Just fan air circulation. No hot water at the sink in the bathroom. A big negative for me. I requested a smoking room but never smoked in the room because the smoke order was so bad I couldn't bring myself to add additionl smell of smoke. If you are a non-smoker I wouldn't recomend this hotel. But overall it was ok for the night, good location if catching an early flight in the morning since it's very close to the airport. Didn't think the price justified the room.

Needs Renovation

For the price and convenience for proximity to airport, I could live with the rundown conditions of the room. The windows are soundproof so that's a plus but the hotel is need of a facelift. Shuttle service to/from hotel was ontime. Staff is friendly. I had a no-smoking room but the lobby and air conditioning in the room had a residue smoke/old a/c smell to it.

Never stay here!!

First, you have to walk 2 blocks to the parking lot, which charges $10 per day. Secondly, the last night of my stay, there was a party on the 2nd floor and the music was unbearably loud until 2am (maybe the walls are thin). The front desk stated that the sounds are loud everywhere in the hotel and could not accommodate a room change. I will never use or recommend another Radisson hotel.

Stuck between low and high end

Good: Sleep-number beds, well appointed rooms, within walking distance of the airport (although they have a shuttle). Bad: Don't heat or air-condition the hallways so expect to sweat the moment you step out of your room; terrible service in the bar/lounge, room service prices on the New York City scale which is to say, utterly ridiculous (with nothing but a Subway close by). Be prepared that this is not a business traveler hotel--the clientelle is a little more ... oddly diverse. The first night, the smell of pot was so heavy it was hard to sleep (ironically). The next night, there was a female on female drunken argument at 3 in the morning. You're never quite sure whether you're staying at a full-service upscale hotel, or at a travelodge on skid row. Do yourself a favor and book a hotel further down Century Blvd., where there are more restaurants and businesses.

Radisson LAX is cheap!

This hotel is less expensive than the other surrounding hotels, but they still get their money out of you (Parking, food, ect.). The hotel is old (in need of major work (Only 1 of 3 elevators worked, No hot water the first night, Room stayed above 80F.-No A/C, Plugs blew out so 2 of the lamps where out, Shower was in pretty bad condition, Windows where so dirty you couldn't see out of them, and the list is much longer). This was My first and last time staying at the radisson LAX!

Smoking rooms

The room wreaked of tobacco, I hated it. I could not have stayed if I weren't so tired. If I had to stay close to LAX again, I would definitely choose one of the others in the area.

Needs improvement

My husband and I stayed after returning from out of the country. I was somewhat disappointed in the "aged" condition of the hotel and our room. Dated decor in the areas we saw, old wallpaper and sloppy paint job in our room, with a dated bathroom. In a nutshell, it didn't "feel" clean. Our windows looking outside were dirty and obviously had not been cleaned for awhile. I was also disappointed in the hotel's restaurant. It was advertised at the entrance as a bar and grill, but once seated, and the menu reviewed, it was an upscale restaurant with the prices to go along. Great food if you want that type of meal. What a contradition with the rest of the hotel. The hotel was convienant and the shuttle service was good.

good price, kind of dingy hotel

this hotel is getting pretty run down now, although the price and location are great. only parking option was really valet, which cost a lot. but the biggest problem was being able to smell smoke in my non-smoking room starting at 7am!! would recommend if you need a hotel close to the airport and you don't mind smoke, otherwise i wouldn't recommend.

hot and cold running water?

Not a bad hotel until you get to your room and want to wash up. While you get hot and cold running water in the shower, you do NOT get it at the sink. I ran the hot water faucet for ten minutes before it became tepid for about 1 minute and then reverted to cold. You are going to have to take a shower to wash your face. I don't demand much, but hot and cold running water is a deal breaker.
