Trip Type: Family Review 1 of 13Noisy; no air conditioning (HOT); No personel to help
I can't believe how disappointed I was with this hotel! I have never had a worse experience. First of all, when we got there at check-in time there was a long line of people waiting to check-in and there was nobody at the front desk. Finally after almost an hour we were checked into our room. Unfortunately, when we got there we realized that we could hear every little thing that was going on upstairs. We could even have our television on mute and still hear everything coming out of the neighbors TV. Also, the hot water was gone after 5 minutes of taking a shower. Worst of all, as we were trying to go to bed it had gotten so hot in the room after a hot summer day, we tried everything to get some cool air going through the room. We called the emergency number they give you if you need any help at night, and he quite rudely told us that there is no air conditioning in this hotel and basically that we would have to deal with it. We had to sleep with the window open which is unsafe and only added to the insane amount of noise in this hotel. I would have to say never go to this place! We probably would have been more comfortable staying in a tent on the side of the road!

There was nobody at the front desk. We were to check in on 6/5/2009 and the sign on the front desk said that they would return on 7/1/2009. We had to call a number to get the code to a safe that was supposed to have our room code (it did not have the code) and pool key. Room was small, no room to move about the room. Kitchen, sitting area and bed all in the same space. Doors locked at 10:00 PM so another code is needed to enter the building. There is a lot of sketchy people hanging out in the parking lot at all hours.

Trip Type: With Friends Review 3 of 13Our room smelled!! But can't beat the price
Our room had a queen and a hide a way. The hide a way had springs poking out of it. It was one of the worst night sleeps I have ever had. I don't know if these rooms are owned by someone and then just rented out when not occupied, but ours smelled horrable. The shower curtain had mold on it and the oven was a complete mess. Did I mention it smelled. Overall to stay in Park City this cheap what could I expect. I guess a little more than that!!!

Trip Type: Business Review 5 of 13A NEW LOW IN HOTEL SERVICE
I arrived at the Carriage House Condos at 7PM on Monday, Jan. 12, tired after a 6-hour drive. The check-in counter was closed and I had to use an adjoining phone to call a remote desk clerk (unknown location) to get a code to a safe containing my check-in packet and key. I was able to open the safe and get my packet but there was no key included so I had to pick up the phone and call again. I told the phone agent that no key was in the packet. He said that the Carriage House uses 6-digit entry codes to each room. When I explained that there was no code written on the packet, he became very rude and insisted that it was there. After a lengthy argument, the agent agreed that no key code had been written and he finally provided one to me. There had been no cheery "welcome" to the Carriage House, an apology from the clerk for his rudeness, the trouble I had to go through to get key access to my room, or even advice where my room was located or where to park (you must have a parking pass and park in a specific area of the lot). This was not a good start to my 1-night stay. After finally getting inside my room, I was dismayed to find a old queen bed that was sunken in the middle, no remote to the TV, "beat up" blinds covering the window, and threadbare towels. On a single positive note, the room was clean! I discovered that each condo is individually owned and decorated so it is up to the owner to provide/maintain the furnishings. It doesn't appear that condo management has any standards to which the owners must maintain their units. I would never recommend this place to anyone nor would I ever return! And, if I were an owner, I would really be upset that the management does such a lousy job of greeting guests. With the economy in such dire straits, places like this will have a tough time filling rooms in the future. There are too many other options!

Trip Type: With Friends Review 6 of 13Good Price Bad Room
The renovated hotel had a kitchenette thrown into it!!! The bed was horribly uncomfortable and the heating system was terrible...Other than that it was a great location and the price, comparitively, was very low. Park City is great...Hotels.com also said this place was 10 miles away from Snowbird, try 30.

Trip Type: Special Event Review 7 of 13Where have all the employees gone?
We arrived on our scheduled day to find no one at the front desk and another guest trying to get a hold of an employee. We finally were able to call someone who instructed us to open a safe on the wall to retrieve our room information. We retrieved the information only to find that we were given a room key code to a room that had no room key code computer--it needed an actual metal key, which we had not been given. The other guest, too, had been given keys that did not unlock his room. We were finally given a new room with a new code and moved on. We stayed for 24 hours and never once saw an employee. The front desk was closed (windows closed) our entire stay. Not very welcoming at all.

Trip Type: Romance Review 10 of 13What Service??
At 9PM there was no one at the desk and it took us 20 minutes just to get someone on the phone. Also, the front door was already locked and we couldn't get in until someone let us through the door. It sucked.

Trip Type: Romance Review 11 of 13You get what you pay for
This was an extremely cheap room for the area, but we expected better in Park City. The room we got was on the basement floor. We were just underneath the main entrance and heard everyone coming and going all night. The tub area was moldy. The plug in our room didn't work so we didn't use the jetted tub. (which may have been a blessing) The blinds did not close all the way and I felt like the people going in the door were looking in the window all night. The entrance (only entrance) is not convenient to getting around the area. Because of the building configuration the pool never gets any direct sun-didn't seem to bother the kids in it. It was a disappointing stay over all, we just expected better in Park City. Most accomodations are much nicer.
