Amazing Vacation Spot

We couldn't ask for a better experience then what we had at The Wailea Grand Champion Resort. The condo was well maintained and grounds/pool were beautiful. The condo was well stocked and decorated and the staff couldn't have been more courteous. We are already planning our return for next year!

Awesome sunsets and very friendly service

Best sunsets we saw in all of HI were in Wailea. Great view from our porch. Check in service was exceptionally helpful and we were allowed an 8pm checkout to accommodate our red-eye flight. This was exceptionally helpful and allowed us a stress free full last day in HI. Nice surprise that they were this accommodating. Room itself was comfy - nothing spectacular but roomy and clean with a comfy bed and couches and good shower. We felt like it was a great value for the money.

Excellent Stay

The only 2 problems I had was the confirmation letter did not make clear that you go to an office in the shopping mall for registation and to pick up keys. I went to managers office on property first and was redirected the half mile back to the shopping center. The second problem was the phone in the master bedroom did not work on arrival. I reported it and it was replaced the following morning. Excellent response. Overall, lovely condo on lovely grounds. Do be aware you only get maid service every 3rd day. Also, there is no safe in the unit, so you may want to limit bringing jewelry, cash, computers, cameras.

Great location and value

As long as you understand that this complex is not right at the beach, then this is truly one of the best places to stay in Wailea. It is quiet and some of the best beaches to snorkel or sunbathe are a short drive away. Wailea has many first-rate restaurants and Kihei has much more affordable and funkier places to dine. Not nearly as crowded as Kaanapali or Lahaina. I would come back to Grand Champions the next opportunity I have to return to Maui.

Quiet Condo Close to the Shops of Wailea

Very well-maintained condo (often stay Wailea condos). Staff was great and the complex was very quiet and SPOTLESS. Our unit was nicely furnished and well-equipped.

I Give It a 6!

Not sure I want to say too many great things about our stay because it may drive up demand and make rooms harder to find for us next time we go...Wailea's my favorite Maui area. Convenient to everything on the island and you don't have to deal with all the Lahaina traffic. PERFECT accomodation for a couple in a idyllic community. OUTSTANDING views of the Pacific. Top rate service by the WGC/DRH staff and the accompanying activity center. Spot on recommendations for whale watching and snorkleing excursions. Great running choices, beach access, shopping, eating (recommend the coffee at Honolulu Coffee and a Kona waffle cone at Lappert's) all within an easy walk. We will certainly stay there again on our next trip.

The Perfect Resort

The entire staff was friendly and very helpful. Nothing less than an A+++++++++. The condo was well supplied with extra towels and even soap for the laundry! It was a real pleasure to stay there. I would highly recommend Grand Champions to anyone vacationing in Maui!!!!

Great Location, Great Price

Resort Condo - 1/2 mi from beach, 1/4 mi from shops. Full condo, very clean and comfortable. Everything you would need for a one night stay or a week long vacation.

Pretty good deal

The hotel was a one bedroom fully equipped condo. View was the gold course and very quiet. Air-conditioning worked well. The kitchen sink acyually emptied into a garbage can. Weird! I called the maintenance staff and they were really embarassed. It is near the Wailea mall, in a nice neighborhood and close to beaches. I was there for business and the setting was ideal. Free internet, free parking, good deal. I would stay there again.
