Terrible Service

We arrived 90 min after check in time. One of our two rooms was not ready. Two hours after check in time our room was still not ready. We left for the evening and did not get our room until we returned that night at 11pm. We had to wait in line with two sleeping children to get our keys. No one offered to give us another room or discount or even apologized. We only had the rooms for 1 night so missing out on several hours was a big disappointment.

Needs Improvement

While driving up to the hotel I noticed it looked old as could be and parking lot could use a cleaning. Getting out of my car to go check in there was dirty underwear right in front of the main entrance. Then I went to check in and the clerk told me she was going to upgrade me to a skyroom. Which was nice maybe if I didn't reserve and pay for a skyroom already. Once I got to my room it seemed small and when I bent over to get something I had dropped I noticed there was trash under the sofa chair. All in all I would not recommend this hotel and will not be returning.

It was ok...

The room was comfortable, and the staff was nice but the bathroom is tiny, there is no counter space and there is no coffee pot in the room, which meant going down stairs to the coffee shop to get coffee in the morning. It also seemed like they tried to make the room a throw back to the 30s but missed the mark - it was a little cheesy. Overall, the hotel is ok, but it was a bit over priced for what it was.

"Overall rating"

The hotel was under construction and the water in the washrooms did not shut off. The only thing we felt was any where near a four star were the beds and bedding. It is quite old and for the pricing it needs much improvement before it is anywhere near a three star much less a four star.

Too Expensive for What You Get

Too much wasted space - a chaise lounge in front of the windows, when we really needed a table and two chairs. A large boxy case to hold the TV, without ANY drawers in it. Instead, there was a small plastic cabinet in the small closet, where you were supposed to keep clothes. The bed was not made well, and the bottom sheet kept coming up from the foot during the night. There was no mini-bar. The hotel bar was only open after 5PM. The restaurant was bright and sunny, but lacking in good service.
