Trip Type: Special Event Review 3 of 568Great Hotel at a Reasonable Price
We enjoyed our stay at the Ambassador East. Service was excellent and the room was large (we had a parlor suite). It is clean, and our room had free internet (but only if you call the desk and get the password.) Parking is $40 per 24 hours.

Trip Type: Special Event Review 4 of 568Very helpful, curtious staff.
I don't usually stay at high-end hotels, so it was nice to feel pampered and taken care of.

Trip Type: Special Event Review 5 of 568Shabby Chic
Excellent location, grand old hotel that needs a bit of a face lift. Great value if you can get past the dated decore and frayed carpet. Very clean and comfortable in a nice residential neighborhood steps away from the nightlife on Rush Street or the shopping on Oak Street and Michigan Avenue. The Pump Room is a Chicago institution - great drinks and usually live music on the weekends.

Trip Type: Romance Review 9 of 568Historic Hotel but needs maintained
Overall a great place to stay. The Pump Room was lovely. However, our room was in some disrepair. The ceiling needed paint and the bathroom could use more counterspace. Very clean and comfortable. Loved our housekeeper!

Our room was right next to the elevator which had more noise than other rooms. Also i booked a king deluxe and they gave us a queen their excuse was that it was not guaranteed i guess it was in the small print. I was not happy but did not complain. Room service was good. Hotel was overall okay nice area.

Trip Type: Romance Review 12 of 568Great Hotel
Was very satisfied with this hotel. Room was clean, and roomy. Even with all my wifes stuff we had plenty of room. Very good restaurant down stairs. Good location. If we come back we would stay here again.

Trip Type: Special Event Review 13 of 568great room for the money
very convenient to downtown chicago in a charming neighborhood, felt very safe walking at night. bathroom was inconvenient in that there was not a counter to set makeup kit while getting ready, towel racks across bathroom from shower and no towel rack next to sink. We would stay again as our overall rating exceeded the few inconveniences in the bathroom.
