Ruined Honeymoon

I booked a room for my daughter and son in law for their honeymoon here and "What a disaster" it was!!! The room was full of bugs, their wedding cake was ruined,promises made by the hotel staff DID NOT happen and it was truly a very disappointing stay. I would never recommend this place to anyone.

I wouldn't go back.

I am a business traveler and I am often pleasantly surprised with the hotels that I choose. Not this time. Although the grounds were beautiful, I found the overall staff to be pre-occupied and not at all interested in servicing their customers. (with some exceptions) When asked specifics about their hotel, I received surly responses at best as if I was supposed to know about it already! In fact, I have been given better service at 3 star chain based hotels! This one should try to live up to it's rating!! Also, My room was directly over the cooling system so I felt a slight shimmy emanating from the bathroom. Perhaps this is my projection, but I felt as if I complained about my room, I wouldn't get joy filled service so I didn't bother. Lastly, I resent the 'spa fee' for use of the pool that was NOT included in the price of this room. As the hotel name implies, it should be included in a nightly rate.

Needs improvement

The grounds were beautiful, the location could not be better but the room had bugs. They did not offer to change our room instead they had someone come spray so the room stunk! When we returned back to the room after a few hours, the bugs were still there so we then insisted on a room change. The wireless internet did not work our entire trip though someone was "working" on it the entire time we were there. We dined at the award winning resturant which was not award winning in our opinion and overpriced. We love good food and don't mind paying for it but the food was salty with odd flavors paired together that just ended up tasting weird. It almost seemed like they tried to hard to make the food diffrent and upscale by giving tiny portions with odd seasoning parings. We only had 2 entrees and 2 soft drinks, 1 dessert No wine No appetizer and the bill was $100. If it had been good food we would not have minded but it was far from good. One more thing, in the middle of the night there was a knock on our door even though it had the privacy sign on the door, it was room service with a delivery but it was for the room next to us. Not a great way to be woken up in the middle of the night in a strange place. And bring your own alarm clock, they forgot to give us our wake up call! It had such a high star rating, we expected more.

Hotel was beautiful but Room was not cleaned

I had eaten dinner at T Cooke's and it was outstanding so I was so excited to stay at the hotel. The room was beautiful, the bathroom was beautful. BUT, my room was not clean, there was a disgusting QTip on the bathroom floor and hiar in my shower. When I complained to the Hotel desk, they said they would celan it right away, but I would have appreciated a discounted rate or some kind of offer from them as ther is nothing worse than a dirty room.
