great hotel, not convenient

This Marriot was exceptionally beautiful, a good place to hold a conference. If you want to see Rome, you have to take the shuttle and go in. The restaurant is very expensive and there are no other choices close by. Eat before you come back to the hotel.

Fine if you have a car.

Since the hotel is nowhere near the historic sites of Rome and doesn't provide a shuttle to the airport I'm guessing their main business is in conferences. It's a very attractive property and the rooms are lovely. Our room had a shower/sink/toilet/bidet in one little room and a tub/sink in another. Nice when two people are getting ready in the morning. The shower head was one of those big, round, rain falling kind which don't provide enough pressure and make it difficult to rinse shampoo out of your hair. If you want to go downtown you can take a shuttle that costs about 6 Euros each way. A taxi to the airport is 50 Euros. We had pre-ordered a car service and it was 35 Euros to the airport. I had mean't to book a room at the Marriott that's right at the airport for the last night of our stay in Italy, so this ended up being an expensive mistake.
