needs improvement

no oven mitts to use when cooking no clock on night stand no coffey or filters in room maid did not come in only gave clean towles and a trash bag each day had to switch to three rooms before we could find one ready and clean

not like the website

I chose this based on the photos and the deal from the website but upon arrival was disappointed with the accommodations. Not only was it in a dicey neighborhood but there was constant noise until late at night and traffic on the boardwalk after midnight. We could see where they had tried to spruce up the place but it still needed some work. When we inquired about possibly cutting our stay short by 1 night (we had booked for 2) we were told that we would be charged full price whether we stayed or not. Needless to say, we would not recommend this place to anyone.

Great view but didn't feel clean

Great view of the beach. Unfortunately it didn't feel clean; there were no linens for the pull out couch. Beds felt slightly damp.

Not what it was represented to be

The swimming pool is in the parking lot. The lobby is no bigger than a broom closet. The people working at the hotel were nice. However, this is a destination best left to college kids. If you are a family, you'd be better served going somewhere else. It was not quiet. I didn't feel safe.

Towing of guess's vehicle is not acceptable .

my brother's car was towed because I forgot to tell him to get a parking pass. I did checked in and got a key to his room. He did not arrive till 3:00 am and got towed at 5:00 am. what the heck ? the front desk personel should inform guess on that.

Needs Improvement

This hotel is not what is viewed on the internet. The rooms are in need of repair. The maid service was poor. There are huge water bugs crawling around the floor at night. There is no radio in the rooms, no remote control to the TV's, no iron to iron clothing, all locks on the doors were broken. Had to put a chair behind the door at night. The shower knob fell off and did not work. It was so many negitive things, I can't even name them all. I would not recommend this hotel to anyone. The owners should be ashame.

Older and shows

For the money, I suppose it was in a condition to be expected. Its an older building that has been minorly upgraded at some point. There was no soap in the entire room, the tiny hand lotion bottle was half empty (so it was used by someone else as apposed to new). The front desk lady was friendly, but other hotel maids seemed a little pissy. Its a cheap place to stay right on the beach if you just need a place to crash. Certainly wouldn't want to vacation for a week in it.

A lot left to be desired

I will never stay in this hotel again. At first I thought it looked great for the money I paid. Large room with fridge,oven, stove range, microwave, toaster, and full size coffee maker. The room was older but clean and right on the beach. Then night came. The hotel is right by all the clubs/bars on the strip and it was very loud all night. The way the hotel is the noise carried in from the street and many of the other rooms were drunken military members or college students. The stairwell smelled like urine and our second night there we woke to the sound of police in the hallway. My room was only cleaned 2x during my total of 15 days. I would call down for towel/trash servise but no one vacuumed or made beds. Next time I will spend a little more money for something further down the strip. Would probably work fine for singles but families would be happier further down the strip.

Needs Improvement

The strikers on the entry door did not have any screws which made the door difficult to open and close(entry door) The shower was like a fire hose. The force was too great and would put an eye out. I've never had to stand away from a shower in my entire life. It would put welts on your body. The staff wasn't that friendly either. I think I got a bad deal and Hotels.com should reconsider this hotel.

Not so Great.

The place was not what I expected at all. While the rooms were big and facing the beach, they were also outdated and did not feel safe or clean. On my last day there the shower broke and was spurting water at my knees... The employees were nice, I guess. Virginia Beach is not a very nice place to stay, unless you plan to go barhopping at night... All in all I will stay away from Virginia Beach and this hotel.
