Trip Type: Special Event Review 1 of 24Disappointment at the W
Unfortunately we did not have a great experience at the W. In our reservation, I paid an upgraded price to have a room on a high floor and 2 beds. We were put on the 7th Floor(very low) and there was one bed in room. Walls were marred with black scuff marks, greasy handprints on back of door and closet.

Trip Type: Overnight Stay Review 2 of 24Noisy lobby, dark halls, very pricy food, great location, more for the younger crowd
This isn't a place my husband and I would stay again but I'd say it's because we're not their target audience. It's a very modern style hotel, very dark hallways, noisy (music) lobby and overpriced restaurant ($45 for breakfast was crazy and the french toast was very odd tasting). Yes it was clean and the room was a good size, but it just didn't suit us. The location was great for walking but there are plenty others to choose from in the same general location.

Trip Type: Not Provided Review 3 of 24Expected more for $$ paid
The room was clean, king size bed and pillows very comfortable. I enjoyed the flat screen TV; Although not overly excited about the view of a parking lot garage and roof top. The room was also very noisy, I was just there for one night to relax before my flight out, either the furnace or airconditioning unit was on all night from adjacent rooms,I would think it was the one in mine, but not.

Trip Type: Romance Review 6 of 24Disappointed and not enough hotel for the money
Parking expenses too exorbitant. Internet access also a fee per day and not wireless. Terrible view. Food less than spectacular. Cleaning staff, bellhops and parking attendant service was excellent however.

Trip Type: Romance Review 7 of 24$10 glass of milk?
Although it is a very nice hotel, it really isn't worth the extra money. I will gladly stay at the Hyatt or Fairmont during my next Seattle trip. In summary, $10 for a glass of milk to your room is just wrong.

Trip Type: With Friends Review 10 of 24Don't pay extra for the "City View"
I've always been a big fan of the Westin/W hotels, and typically find them clean and their staff incredibly friendly. Maybe it's a "Seattle-thing," but this avid business traveler was very put-off by the 'tude this hotel staff had. The front desk, concierge and cocktail waitress all seemed to exude an "I can't be bothered" type vibe. I also forked over the extra $20-some dollars for the "Spectacular City View" of the wall of the hotel across the street. When I told the woman at the front desk that I thought this "extra" should start on 17th floor and above, she essentially brushed me off and said that the views from the lower floors are even worse. Thanks a lot, lady---great customer service! The only highlight of my stay was that the Philadelphia Eagles were there, as well---otherwise, I was very disappointed. I'll be back to Seattle, but will certainly be spending my money at a place that appreciates my business.

Trip Type: Romance Review 11 of 24Room was great, staff were TECHNO-SNOBs
Room was great (spacious and comfortable), but I didn't know I was signing-up for a night in new age techno-snob purgatory. Staff was very cold and impersonal and offered little in terms of customer satisfaction. I'm from Seattle (romantic weekend out with my wife) and they treated us like we were the foreigners instead of all the Philadelphia Eagles fans swarming around the city and hotels. Decor was ultra-modern, which is OK in itself, but it just added to the creepiness with the incessant weird music and bizarre lighting.

Room service menu comes with crazy price: $99.00/piece of beef-steak; $25.00/hamburger.

Trip Type: Overnight Stay Review 13 of 24Hip is one thing, polite with coffee another
The W in Seattle takes itself very seriously. So much so, that the front desk kids are uber hip and fashionable . . . but mumble rudely and dismissively when you arrive to check in. The overly dark hallways were really disconcerting -- especially when a plain clothed security dude appeared next to me from nowhere. Yikes. There is no coffee service in the rooms and the computer room charged by the minute. For the amount they charge for a night . . . a little packet of instant coffee and a pot to boil it in might be nice. My air handler was super noisy and the tub was dripping. The TV was nice, the burger from room service delightful and the breakfast was lovely. I think you could find a better value in Seattle's downtown that might give you a coffee for staying and a minute or two to check your email.

Trip Type: Business Review 14 of 24Way Overpriced, Noisy, and Watch the Parking Fees
This Hotel, while part of the W brand, is so not worth the money. Fairly routine services and accommodations, and a very noisy crowded lobby (seemingly at all times). To top off an unpleasant experience, the parking is valet and costs way over market price for a twelve hour overnight - and still required us to wait 15 minutes for our care which ended up being parked by the valet at another location.

Trip Type: Romance Review 15 of 24Great Room, Zero Amenities
For the price we paid, we expected a bit more, I guess... Internet access was an extra charge (and quite high), no coffeemaker, no breakfast, no fridge -- you can usually expect these things at much lower-priced hotels for free. The room was beautiful, the bed was comfy, and the television was beautiful. But they need to throw in a few extras at the rates they charge.
