Trip Type: Family Review 1 of 51Nice But Small Room, Nice Staff, No natural light
At least 1/3 of the hotel rooms face an air shaft. There was no natural light in the rooms, and no view. Had to use lamps always. Staff nice, but you enter on the ground floor and lobby is on second floor so you rarely see staff. Rooms were small. Beds were not the most comfortable. But the room was very clean, furnshings were new, bathroom was very clean. The hotel is very convenient to the "L" train.

Trip Type: Not Provided Review 2 of 51Good hotel but noisy
the hotel is fine for the rate paid. the location would be great if not for the L train that runs in front of our room. VERY NOISY at night.

Trip Type: Business Review 3 of 51Awful Staff
The staff at this hotel is the worst. They seem completely bothered by any kind of request. "Is there anything to do in the neighborhood?" "Nahhh!" The front desk clerk was a total waste of time and oxygen.

Trip Type: Family Review 5 of 51great hotel but...
I loved this hotel but I would recommend not staying in the rooms on the 2nd floor which are right next to the EL>...All morning long you will hear the train doors opening. Or at least sleep in the sofa bed which is away from the window then you will be fine.

Trip Type: Family Review 7 of 51rude staff....request, not a reservation
Parking was overly high, hotel staff at the desk was horribly rude telling us our reservation for a two bed suite was a request and not a reservation, no price break for the fold out couch that was horribly uncomfortable. Location is great, clean room, housekeeping staff was pleasant. We travel quite a bit and were shocked by the attitude of the desk clerks!

Trip Type: Family Review 9 of 51Yes the train is loud!
The room was dusty and dark. Old TVs. Bathroom door did not close and also the living area door didn't. Bathtub won't drain. I got a 4th floor suite and the L train was two floors below but still was very noisy. Try get a higher floor or somewhere far from the street. Staff was very nice at check in and check out, also to get the "non working" stuff in my suite fixed. I would say that it is a hotel for travelers that are out all day and just need a place to rest and take a bath.

Trip Type: Romance Review 10 of 51Eh...
I thought it was clean, nice, and had a great location in relation to the "El" and Millenium park. But, when I called to confirm our reservation the person on the phone was completely rude and I could not understand a word he said. The bellman were nothing fancy - in fact, they were sort of rude when we were checking our luggage. And, we could hear the "El" from our room. Overall, it was comfortable but I would probably not stay there again.

Trip Type: Romance Review 11 of 51Very nice room
Room was great with separate living room and bedroom. Water pressure in shower was almost non existent. We could see and HEAR the L train that surrounds downtown Chicago because one of the stops WAS DIRECTLY OUTSIDE OUR WINDOW!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Very convenient to all downtown attractions but the noise was terrible!

Trip Type: Business Review 12 of 51Too Expensive
For the amount of money they charged, could have atleast provided breakfast. The view was a brick wall of the next building.

Trip Type: Special Event Review 13 of 51Only 3-star hotel
When I first reserved this room, it was a 4-star hotel. Now, the rating is down to a 3.5 stars and for good reason. The door men rarely greeted you or helped you catch a cab. The front desk were not overly helpful with requests and forget about calling from your hotel room; nobody responds. The meals at the attached restaurant is only average. I will not return.

Trip Type: Not Provided Review 14 of 51Quaint Boutique Hotel however
service leaves a lot to be desired. After 2 phone calls, one visit to the front desk and 55 minutes later we got the extra bedding we requested for the fold out bed.

Trip Type: Family Review 15 of 51recommend with some reservations
Over all the hotel has a great location and the rooms are comfortable. Caution to anyone using their valet parking service. While I stayed there my car was broken into and several items were stolen. The Hotel blamed the valet, the valet blamed the parking lot and I'm out $100 for parking plus the price of the stolen items. I thought the hotel would be a bit more helpful in how they handled the situation. When my car was brought back to me it was ransacked and I had to clean it before I could even drive home. My children were crying and they offered me a bottle of water and directions to the police station. I also was somewhat disappointed in the restaurant, both times we ate there the wait was long, they didn't have the right menus and people were complaining.
