Trip Type: Family Review 1 of 15Best Location Ever
You can't beat the location. The hotel is right off one the main avenues of Paris, on Saint Germain du Pres. Notre Dame is a 5 minute walk, the Louvre is 8-10 minutes away, St. Sulpice is 5 minutes, the Luxenburg Gardens are 8 minutes away, and Musee d'Orsay is 12 minutes max. Around the hotel are a number of great cafes and shops. Cherche Midi and Rue de Rennes are just steps away from this hotel. If you really want to see Paris stay at this hotel. Anything you can't walk to is not a big deal (Eiffel Tower, Arc de Triomphe, Sacre Couer) because there are two different subway lines within 2 blocks of the hotel. The subway is cheap and the ride is 15 minutes max to any of the "far" sites. The hotel itself is quite nice. The lobby is a great place to enjoy a coffee. Don't order the hotel's breakfast. It's way too expensive and there are a number of cafes, boulangeries, and patisseriers where you can get breakfast. The beds are small so are the rooms but they are clean and comfortable. A major plus - the hotel offers free wifi. So if you're going to bring a lap top or use your blackberry you're in luck.

Trip Type: Family Review 3 of 15Perfect area!
From our window, we overlooked a flower market, fruit and vegetable market, and a bakery that baked 24 hours a day, (not open 24 hours, but made a perfect breakfast spot!!). This is one of the best locations in Paris!!

Hotel was in a great location. It was close to 3 Metro stops and numerous restaurants. The staff all spoke English and were friendly and helpfull. The breakfast in the hotel was not included but looked overpriced and not worth it.There was a good breakfast place across the street at a moderate price.

Trip Type: Romance Review 5 of 15Amazing location, great little boutique
I was in Paris for 4 days in March and picked Hotel de Buci for the reviews and it's location. The location is amazing, walk down from your room, restaurants, pastry and bakery shops, fine cheese and wine shops or just a sandwich, right at your feet! Walking distance to everything important, the Louvre, Notre Dame and the Champs Elysee. Staff was very friendly and helpful. One night I got sick to my stomach and my husband couldn't find a pharmacy that was open so the gentleman at the front desk offered him some Pepcid AC. That was very nice of him. All staff was courteous and of good disposition and always smiled and greeted. The room we stayed at was very small, even for European rooms standards. But it was clean and comfy. Would recommend this hotel.

Great hotel. Clean, great bed, marble bathroom. Courteous folks at the desk. Right in the hard of the Latin Quarter. Only complaint is that our room was small even by European standards. But no big deal. Great value for the money.

Trip Type: Family Review 7 of 15Hotel de Buci is Great.
The staff is what makes this hotel exceptional. They are so ready to please. My husband, unfortunately, fell ill for a couple of days during our stay and the staff was so concern and attentive to us and so very helpful when we needed them most. The hotel itself is very cozy and warm and has such a welcoming feeling. It is small but elegant. The bed was so so comfortable. We had breakfast in the hotel each morning. It was kind of expensive at 18 euros per person but it was nice and we enjoyed eating there. They do not serve dinner or lunch. The hotel is located in the Latin district so there's all kinds of shops and cafes right outside that are all inviting. It was fun to just walk around. There is a fruit and vegetable stand that is directly across the street and was just such a beautiful sight to see. There's also a very well appointed grocery store catercorner to the hotel that we often visited for hot soups when we wanted to eat in. The day before we left in snowed. It was beautiful. I cannot wait to go back.

Trip Type: Family Review 9 of 15Great spot in a fabulous neighborhood
While the room was a little small, the Hotel du Buci is an amazing place within easy walking distance to the Metro, Notre Dame, Jardins du Luxemborg, or the Louvre. The surrounding neighborhood is filled with wonderful cafe's and bistro's. You could choose one almost at random -- and still have a great dining experience. The staff at the hotel were friendly, attentive, and extremely professional. They were helpful in making travel arrangements, and seemed genuine about making you feel welcome. 18 Euro's for breakfast seemed unreasonable, so we recommend you go outside to a nearby cafe and eat for less than half. We'd go back again in a heartbeat.

Had a great stay. The bed was super comfortable and the room, though small, was quite well appointed. Would definitely stay again.
