This motel is not in the best area of New Orleans. It is under reconstruction post Katrina. The desk hosts were not at all friendly or helpful. The room was just "alright". It wasn't anything special. Basic ammenties were provided (i.e. coffee pot, hair dryer, iron.

Trip Type: With Friends Review 3 of 8Not too bad
The hotel wasn't too bad. The staff was very friendly and I felt safe staying there. There is a great taco truck that parks in the lot next door that has amazing food. The quesadillas were to die for, and it was really nice to have this place downstairs. My one major complaint is with the noise levels in the hotel. The walls and doors are pretty thin and you can hear people in the hallways like they're standing on the end of your bed. Other than that it wasn't too bad. If you're looking at this review, you are most likely not going to be spending much time in your hotel anyways.

The hotel was very convenent to the interstate, but the parking was very limited and had very small spaces for your car. The room was clean, but the air conditioner did not work and was noisy. The neighborhood was post Katrina and did not look like much had been done to improve it. But, if you are looking for a cheap place just to sleep, it is O.K.

I will never book with Super 8 again. They gave my room away and I'm still fighting the charges.

Trip Type: Business Review 6 of 8Great room for the money
We loved the room and the swimming pool. We did not like the location. It was very far from our destination and there was only one place to eat.

Trip Type: Not Provided Review 7 of 8Fine for one night
It is fine to stay there for one night , but I wouldn't suggest to stay their for more than 3 nights. They don't have refrigerator or michrowave in the room I stood. And the neighbourhood still kind of not recovered from katrina. But their service is good, the room is clean and it's about 10-15 minutes to drive to french quater. I may not stay there next time but I think their trying to do their best.

THE EMPLOYEES WERE GREAT. LOVED THE GAL AT THE FRONT DESK. VERY WILLING TO ASSIST WITH ANYTHING WE ASKED. OUR ROOM WAS CLEAN, THE BEDS WERE COMFORTABLE. NOWHERE NEAR BY TO WALK FOR A MEAL. ORDERED IN FROM DOMINOS. GREAT SERVICE TOO. IT IS JUST AN OLDER HOTEL BUT MET OUR NEEDS.
