Trip Type: Business Review 1 of 22Borderline value
Shower did not drain well, one half of lights did not work in the bathroom. Although the facility was lovely, subtle things made me think I coud have had similar for less money overall.

Trip Type: Special Event Review 3 of 22There are better hotels
I was very disappointed with my stay at the Edgewater. I had heard wonderful things about the hotel. It was very noisy, I could hear everything in the hall way as well as the heater in the next room. The train went by quite often all night long and woke me. There was not a bathtub in my room, the sink is a vessel sink, so it is pretty yet somewhat problematic to use.

Toilet ran all night long. Air conditioning so loud it sounded like someone knocking on the door. Location was nice.

Spent quite a bit extra to have a water view, only to realize it was the bow of a cruise ship. Called the front desk and was told it was acceptable as far as they were concerned and the ship was leaving in an hour or two. This was true, but was replaced by another one shortly. Diesel Trucks coming and going all night and idling on the dock while unloading, made it impossible to enjoy the "Water View".

Trip Type: Romance Review 8 of 22Room with a view...of a cruise ship!
The room was nothing special for the price. We paid for a premium room and it was an OK room, but not great. It didn't even have a balcony. I went back and asked for a room with a balcony, which they did give me. It had a great view across the water, until the cruise ships parked right beside the hotel.

Trip Type: Romance Review 9 of 22Great location, but you pay for it!
Downtown Seattle is just as expensive as any downtown. The location of this hotel (on the touristy pier area) is an expensive one. I did not eat in this area because it reeked of tourist, and there are shady types at night in the area. I was concerned walking with my gf at night. However the accommodations, while expensive, are nice. The restaurant has a great view and the lodgey feel is welcoming. The check in people failed to tell me there was a charge for parking my rental there. That upset me and cost $35 bucks a night! I would not visit this hotel again, next time I would find a moderately priced hotel away from the tourists.

Trip Type: Business Review 10 of 22High Price, Low Service
Hotel is nice, Service lacks. Ordered Room Service for Breakfast for 8:30am, they called at 8:45 stating they were running behind, did we still want breakfast. Had customers with us, they ordered breakfast room service and did not get what they ordered. If you are using this hotel the night before a cruise, beware of their transfer service from the pier. I will stay at another hotel the night before my next cruise from Seattle.

Trip Type: Business Review 11 of 22Great accomodations - no place for a vegetarian
My room was great. I enjoyed the style of the decor and the better than average level of maintenance. Prices seemed commensurate with the value received. Food was a disappointment. As a vegetarian, I'm accustomed to making due with a limited menu selection, but was surprised that the hotel's menu offered not a single meal for non-carnivores. Not the fault of the hotel, but of interest to other vegetarian travelers is the fact that the nearest vegetarian fare is a small deli two blocks away. Eventually I resolved the issue by having 'delivery' brought in from pizza and Chinese restaurants in the greater Seattle area.

Trip Type: Special Event Review 12 of 22Not responsive to a complaint
When we arrived, the room was very warm, we turned the air down low so it would cool off while we went to dinner, 4 hours later the room was still warm. Call front desk, they sent a man up, he felt the vent and said that it was putting out cool air and to give it some time, I explained we had given it 7 hours by this time and a 350 square foot room should be cooler than 75 degrees. The next morning went to the front desk personally to address the issue and the girl said that set it on 40, and it would cool down, never did and their answer was, well it is hot outside. For a very expensive price per night, I demand more that a hot room to walk into after being out all day. I also asked for a poly filled pillow because I am allergic to down, they sent two more down pillows and when I asked again they sent two pillow cases. I have stayed here two times before, however I fell that they are getting to big for their britches and the attitude is we have the only hotel on the water so we can do what we want too. That is disappointing, but I will not be staying here again.

Trip Type: Overnight Stay Review 13 of 22Lovely hotel but big charges for everything
Lovely hotel but they certainly charge you quite a bit for anything, a glass of wine, wi-fi. Other much less expensive hotels are now offering hotel wide wi-fi and I find that the more expensive/exclusive hotels will charge you fairly expensively. I guess if you are wealthy and are used to the more expensive hotels you expect to pay for any additional items and certainly expect to pay a premium for food and drink. We were treating ourselves to a special hotel and thought the price for the room was enough of a hit on our budget. The staff not knowledgeable about city transportation. Again not something the wealthy usually inquire about.

Trip Type: Overnight Stay Review 14 of 22Too much money for the stay
For what we paid to stay there we could have stayed at a hotel with much higher quality. It has a great "bed and breakfast" atmosphere but it is not a bed and breakfast. Although the service was good the room had a musty smell. It is simply an older hotel trying to look like a upper end hotel. No bathtub, only a shower.
