Tipo de viaje: Romance Reseña 1 de 13Average Hotel For Your Money
The day we arrived and checked in,they wanted to put us in the outside cottages. We had payed for the garden view in the main building but the lady wasn't helpful fixing the problem.Eventually they came around and put us where we should've been in the first place. The beach was nice outside the hotel but the eating at the resort was abit pricey. I wouldn't come back to this hotel if we stayed in kanapali again.

Tipo de viaje: Romance Reseña 2 de 13Poor Service
We were married at and honeymooned at this hotel. The hotel did nothing extra for us. No room upgrade, no champagne, no nothing. Our first night there we ate at the hotel. What a mistake that was. Our food was completely cold, not cool but COLD. Our waiter came to our table three times during the entire meal. Once to take our order, once to bring our food and once after having to get up to find him for the bill. After our wedding my brother had a bottle of champagne and chocolate covered strawberries sent to our room. The next morning we set the service outside of our room where it remained for the next two days. It took three calls and a threat to check out to get it picked up. We will never stay here again.

Tipo de viaje: Romance Reseña 3 de 13Just OK
Royal Lahaina is just OK. Its beach location is perfect, the bar was fun, and the Tiki bar was useful. But they REALLY need to update their elevators. The first night we got there, all 3 elevators worked fine. The next morning we were down to 2. OK, no big deal. Next morning down to 1. OK, we're in Maui. How bad can life really be?? Next day... Yup, not one elevator in operation. I'm relatively young, so still OK. Well, unless I was scrambling to make an early tee time at Kapalua and had to lug my golf bag and shoes down 8 flights of stairs. Not fun. I can't imagine the elderly people here. They had to be livid. My wife was and she's younger than I am. But, as I told her, it could be worse. It could be the elevators at work, not in Maui. We got a partial ocean view. (That's all you need. We saw whales and rainbows from our bed every morning.) The rooms were a bit snug, but you're not in Maui for the hotel room, right?? This place is just OK. For the right price, I'd stay there again. But I'd also splurge and stay at Kapalua next time, too.

Tipo de viaje: Romance Reseña 5 de 13Food Poisoning
We paid for what was advertised as an ocean view room and I would consider it a partial ocean view room. When my husband and I complained their only response was we could pay more for an ocean front room. They would not upgrade us nor did they care that we were very dissatisfied. The last night there we ate at the restaurant there where my husband got food poisoning and was sick all night and for the next two days...talk about ruining a vacation and Thanksgiving! I informed the manager at check-out and he didn't seem to care and tried pointing blame elsewhere when it was clearly his dinner at their restaurant that made him sick. We transfered over to the Hyatt for the rest of our trip and loved it! It was much more expensive but worth every penny. We will never go back to Royal Lahaina.

The staff was not accommodating and the maid service was poor.

Tipo de viaje: Family Reseña 7 de 13NOT worth the money
We stayed in a Garden Cottage room (a bungalow). The room was not very clean and was in need of refurbishment (cracked sinks, dirty grout in shower, mold in shower). The room was far too small for our family of four. We expected the room to have two queen sized beds - the beds were double size (granted, this was our fault for not double checking - the hotel didn't mislead us on this). We had to call several times for more towels and to get a remote that worked. All in all, pretty disappointed. We certainly wouldn't recommend the Royal Lahaina to anyone we like.

Tipo de viaje: Overnight Stay Reseña 8 de 13Royal Lahaina
We have been to the Royal Lahaina for events in the past and that is why I chose it for a one night stay. The room we had was nicely furnished, but cramped and the sink that was for the bathroom was the same one you used for preparing food or drinks. It was just an odd layout is all. Elevators were scary and in disrepair. Service was okay, but I wouldn't say that is was outstanding. I have stayed at equal places with much better service.

I was truly disappointed in the hotel and its staff. The service of the restaurants and parking/valet staff was horrible. We were charged for valet service when we did not use it and then lectured and questioned by the staff for several minutes before we were properly credited. The service was extremely slow in the restaurants and at one point we actually left the bar after sitting for 15 minutes and no one acknowledging us. Lastly, the pools were disappointing. They were extremely small and crowded.

we were in a "cottage" which was OK. I suspect the rooms in the tower are better but there weren't any available for the time we were there. It's on the beach, which is nice for the kids.

Breakfast food was not good I would not even go there to eat much less stay again. The new rooms are great with a comfortable bed and very clean. However the common areas, and lobby restrooms are awful. One thing that got us was on check out we were not told that for "self-parking" it was going to cost us $10.00 a day so we incurred that fee on check out. Also there was not enough parking for everyone at the hotel and the adjacent Luau.

Tipo de viaje: Overnight Stay Reseña 12 de 13Great room for money, do not expect more!
If planning to do something special in your room that night for your new bride do nto get your hopes up I do not think they are able to accomidate. Make sure you call 20 minutes ahead of time so they can prepair your room. I was not notified of this and was let down.

Tipo de viaje: With Friends Reseña 13 de 13A room with a view?
I paid for an "ocean view" room, which meant I could walk out on the balcony and see the ocean over the top of the adjacent building from the 5th floor. It was not worth the extra money for an "ocean view." There was a lot of construction activity since they are remodeling. Room was nice and clean, and the beach was wonderful.
