Needs maintenance

The hotel is in need of major renovations. The room was clean, but the furniture was old. The hotel was conveniently located to the beach. You get what you pay for..........

Well I read other reviews before we booked so I knew it needed to be renovated but there was nothing else available. So for the money I guess it was ok, location was good. We had no big expectations so we were not disappointed. It could have had at least a continental breakfast.

OH My!

The hotel is on the beach and has a great location! They rent beach umbrella's and chairs for their guests although limited in quantity, you need to get to the beach early to grab one! The employees in room services were wonderful, very professional and pleasant! That is about the only good things to say! The walls are paper thin and we were tortured for days hearing screaiming infants from early morning into the night next door and yelling parents who did not want to take care of their kids. Housekeeping is an issue and may be due to who is the head of housekeeping. enough said on that one! Overall, it is an old hotel.

Desperately needs renovation

Hotel Lobby, pool and amenities are run down and outdated. Even though the rooms are ok the overall impression of the hotel is rather that it urgently needs to be renovated.

customer service and housekeeping needs improvement. customer service not helpful, would not recommend this hotel to others

broken stay

we choose this hotel for the indoor pool and hot tub but the hot tub was under going maintanence the whole week end and felt over charged because of that fact.we could have saved money staying anywhere else

Room Dirty

We found blood on our sheets and the pillow covers had stains. We told management and they said they would contact us about it but never did.

At Least the AC Works

To put it plainly, the Ramada Plaza Nags Head Beach should be a last resort when choosing a hotel in the area. The building is old, poorly maintained, dirty and smells of cigarettes, chlorine and sea water. Be wary too of "ocean view" rooms. As realistically only rooms on the 3rd floor or higher will have an ocean view. The 1st and 2nd floor guests will be staring at a sand berm but paying the ocean view rate.

Worst Stay Ever

This was our third stay at the Ramada Plaza. Our other visits were great. This time, our television sounded as if it was going to short out because it made a static-like noise. When we notified the front desk about this, they did move us to a different room. The second room seemed okay at a glance, except there was only one towel. When we notified the front desk about the lack of towels, they promised to send some up. Two hours later, we still hadn't received any. During that time, we noticed that the tub was filthy. Someone finally brought up some towels, but we had to get the assistant manager involved in order to get our tub cleaned (which was the following morning, I think). That turned out to be the only thing they cleaned. No one showed up to clean our room. I requested it around 4:00 p.m. I was told that it would be done. When we returned to the room a couple of hours later, it still hadn't been cleaned. I had to make our beds and straigten up some since we were told later that the housekeepers knocked off at 4:00. For all of our trouble, the assistant manager did give us vouchers for breakfast and gave us a discount on some movies/games we had purchased. Regardless, I was disappointed because I really did like the hotel. Whenever we'd visit the area, we would stay there.
