Trip Type: Rest and Recreation Review 1 of 42Not worth the money
The Good: The location was great - right next to the Back Bay area and Newbury street, and attached to Copley Place. My view was nice - it overlooked a fountain - and it's a very short walk to the subway. The Bad: I had a lot of trouble with the keycards. The first time I went to my room, the key did not work, and I had to wait for someone to arrive with a new one. I stayed there for a week, and it happened three more times. (Note: I wasn't keeping my key near anything magnetic - after so many problems I was being extremely careful with it.) Cleanliness wasn't what I would expect from a hotel like this. I know that rats are expected in the city, but seeing one in the ballroom as I headed for my hotel room was not comforting. The lack of free wi-fi in the rooms and no fridge didn't work well for my long stay, and two fire alarms in one week was a bit annoying. All in all, it wasn't the hotel for me, and I wouldn't stay there again. Especially not for the amount of money I paid.

I would change the comforters. They were very loud making hard to stay asleep.

Trip Type: Special Event Review 5 of 42Pricey parking and noisy
Valet parking is pricey. No self parking permitted. Woke at 7:45am on a Saturday to people moving stuff and hammering on the floor above. Called the front desk and they apparently took care of it because it stopped within 5 minutes. They said there were workers doing renovations. At 9:00am the banging started again. Didn't bother to call. We left instead.

We were told one thing and then another. We were promised things and no action seemed to be taken. I paid for 2 nights and only was able to be in my room for 1 night. To me this was not fair and it was ridiculous. The bell boys are too pushy and rude. The rooms were nice though. Nice location, nice area, nice view from the room we stayed in. Would have liked the river view but that is ok, the city view was still good.

Trip Type: Not Provided Review 7 of 42needs a lot of improvement
in traveling from new jersey to boston for a wedding,i called 3 days prior to let the hotel know that i was coming down and would need the room before the 3 to get ready, getting to the hotel at 10:30 i was told that the room wasn't ready but would be by 1 and i would be getting 2 beds. Left and drove to a friends house in boston, called at 1 to make sure the room was ready and it was not, had to ask for the manager, in which i was told the room would be ready when we got there. once in the room the was only 1 bed, and at this point it was getting close to the wedding time,so i let it go got dressed and left. oh and Valet took 25 min to get my car

Trip Type: Not Provided Review 9 of 42Definitely not for us....
As a family with with two small children, my husband and I did not expect the vacation to be entirely smooth sailing, lol...however, the kids were great and it was the hotel that was kind of unpleasant. First off, just FYI valet parking is 42$. It's the going rate so they're not ripping you off, but still something to consider. The hotel is undergoing rennovations (somethign that was not disclosed) so in order to use the pool you have to go from one tower go across the main lobby and up five floors (presumably in your bathing suits) to use the area...not so nice. The crib they provided was TERRIBLE, I mean it was rickety, the mattress was essentially a piece of cardboard. The room was clean. The valets were unfriendly. The hotel's location is great and the main lobby is impressively clean, but the whole experience was underwhelming.

The hotel was cramped and uncomfortable. The ceilings looked as if they were going to fall in. When we used the shower, the tub backed up and filled up to over our ankles with hair from the drain. We didn't stay the second night because of our disappointing experience. When we discussed this with the manager, they said that they would be willing to move us to the renovated area of the hotel. My question is, if there is a nicer area, why not place us there in the first place? We will not be back.

Trip Type: Romance Review 11 of 42WE GOT SICK FROM STAYING HERE!
Wow where to start....ok please read the entire review so this wont happen to you! We arrived at the hotel and the valet people didn't want me to park in front of the hotel to unload my bags and check in, he wanted my keys, we walk inside and I'll admit its a beautiful hotel, a lot of nice things like the touch screen computer by the Starbucks, they also have a lounge area, Tv, and computers all inside. They have 2 towers, south and north, we stayed at the south tower, floor 26, we hoped to get a view of the river, but we got a view of the city, so far everything was nice....then the first night, we tried to get comfortable but the bed was so bad, and the pillows, oh wow, my fiancee and I woke up at least 10 times each, that night we started sneezing, and our eyes started burning, next morning i left the paper on the bed asking for the sheets to be changed and they WEREN'T. The second night was even worst, whenever we got into out hotel room we began to sneeze and our eyes were bothering us! It was terrible, and the bed and pillows were very uncomfortable. Moving on, the pool from the pictures looks amazing and big! Well its not, it's not the big, and the water oh man if you get a little bit in your mouth by accident while doing your laps, get ready to get sick! It's disgusting! The sign says you have to shower before entering the pool, but where is the shower and changing room? Didn't see it. There is not breakfast included, no fridge in the room, the room has been renovated but the restroom is half old and half new, the tub is pink like the 80s, and on the other hand the marble counter-top is very nice! They also have a very nice hairdryer. The location is great in downtown Boston, but I would rather pay less for a hotel without all the bells and whittles but with comfortable bed and pillows! I went to the Prudential center from the Hotel, which is very nice you don't have to walk outside to get to Dunkin Donuts. Overall I am very disappointed with this hotel ch

Hotel location, lobby and staff were good. Bathrooms in need of renovation and terribly uncomfortable beds. Dirty carpet and musty smell in room. Would not stay there again. Christina, NYC
