disappointed

i will never stay here again things were so out of line its a shame. i try ordering room service and they way they answer was horrible. "so what u want" was one answer, i order my food and i was told it would be up in about 10 minutes. i waited and waited. 30 minutes later i called and the same lady that answer me before said "i knocked and nobody open" and i said no because i been here waiting and she said "yes yes yes i did" she was really rude, she said she was about to come and re deliver it and they didnt i stood by the door looking through the peep hole for 20 minutes and i just gave up. I had to go eat at out. To top it of with i was not suppose to check out till noon. i went out for a walk with my husband in the morning and when i come back to get my things ready to check out i find the house cleaning lady in the room as well with her supervisor i believe and my things are gone. That was just horrible. whatever happen with privacy??? so i want my things right then they tell us security has it. we walk to find them and they dont want to hand them to us. the lady ask for my id. hello its in my things. so we wait like around 25 minutes for them to give us our things even though we describe every single thing in the bags. This stay was just so ugly here i will never reserve again.

Great Location on the old strip. Room was dirty and toilet over flowed several times in 2 days.

Four Queens Hotel - Las Vegas

Stayed at the Four Queens because it is where the rest of my reunion party had decided to stay. The primary criteria for selecting the 4 Queens was cost. If I had been staying by myself I would have said "good deal for the price", but I was staying with my wife who thought the place was a dump and was very disappointed. Nothing special about the hotel rooms. One small step up from an old roadside motel. Casino is smokier than most. Worse part of the 4 Queens (or any downtown hotel on Fremont Street) is half the rooms are next to the Fremont Street experience. Mine was right next to it...so every hour after dark I was blasted by rock music and light...but then again, when in Vegas you don't need to be in your room.

Scary location

I booked the hotel for location and the fact that previous reviewers said it's been remodeled. The reviews mentioned downtown is not like what it used to be and has been cleaned up. Downtown is still as scary as it used to be and has not changed for the better. The hotel rooms were ok but the bathroom is super small and has not been remodeled. Better to stay on the strip.

Check-in early! Also, in process of renovation

We checked in late, around 1am, so needless to say, we didn't get our non-smoking room, and the room was dirty. Our shower got plugged up, and then in the morning there were some backflow from the pipes that left some black residue. The hotel staff was very nice and allowed us to change rooms, even though we were leaving that same day! Room 128 was the new room, and the bathroom was newly renovated and was immaculate!!! That brief stay in the new room was finally what we had expected the rooms would be. Hopefully they'll finish the remodeling in all the rooms. The neighborhood is in downtown, and is a bit shady, so don't wander too far from the hotel. They do have the huge LG screen that does 5-10 minute shows every hour from around 8pm-midnight which is supposedly amazing. We missed it so wouldn't know until our next visit.

Smoking Rooms Only

reserved non-smoking room, but got smoking room and there is even connecting door to right next room with smoking guests, so the smoke comes in to my room through that connecting door. I checked in about 6PM and only got answer from front desk that all rooms occupied and no non-smoking rooms available. Hotel location was ok, right in the middle of Fremont street experience. Next time I'll pay more for the Fremont hotel accross the street.

Needs Improvement

The hotel is made for oompa lompas, if you are 6 foot or higher you would probably have to duck walking to your room because ceilings are so low. The hotel is stuck in the 70s as for its decor. The casino was nice and had little food court which was conveinent. That is probably only nice thing I would say about the hotel. The hotel is right by where the big screens on fremont go off so it would be quite noisy if you go bed before midnight. Also, it is all old vegas, so if you want to go to the strip its about 3 -5 miles. I tried to walk it but trust me the dry heat will get to you. I would recommend a car because most places have free parking.
