Poor quality bed

As a business hotel, it must offer a comfortable rest for the traveling professional; but it doesn't. The mattress on my bed was in very poor condition causing me to toss and turn all night long. Additionally, the bedsheets had a foul odor coming from them. They did not appear to have been cleaned with detergent.

Absolutely Horrid

I booked this because of reviews and it's star rating. The building is older looking, but I expected that and the lobby was tasteful. My initial impression was good until I exited the elevator onto my floor. The room I received was disgusting. There was stuff on the walls that resembled brown snot, the sheets were wrinkled like someone had laid on them and they were stained. I ended up being so grossed out that I had to go to another hotel, I couldn't even bare to be switched to another room. I will try to get my money back, but who knows how that will go. I guess cheaper isn't always better, remember that if you plan on booking this hotel. There is a Springhill Suites across the road and many other fine hotels within a few miles that are far better for a few dollars more.

HORRIBLE!

The only thing somewhat clean was the lobby! The room was NOT clean with carpet that I doubt has ever been cleaned and definetely was not recently vacuumed. The comforters were DIRTY. We requested others and were denied the request. We threw them on the filthy floor. If not for the late time of check in and little to no availablity at other hotels we would have left! The service was poor. In spite of a do not disturb sign, housekeeping kept slipping a newspaper under the door every 40 minutes. At breakfast we felt hurried and rushed. Don't go by the reviews that say this is a good stay like we did. Save youreslf and stay elsewhere!

Firm Beds

The hotel itself is nice, and the service is good. The beds could be considered VERY firm.

Hotel Dated

Hotel is clean, area is okay. Right next door to a strip club if you are into that. Rooms and hotel are dated. Rate is good. I personally would not stay there again.

Needs Improvement

For the price of the room I feel that the hotel needs some updating. The service of the hotel staff was good but for business travelers I expected more for what I paid.

Carpet in first room was very dirty with large stain areas. Was moved to another room carpet was just as dirty but without the large stains. this carpet was very very soiled and needs to be replaced.

Misses the Mark

The rooms are poorly designed with an extremely small vanity area that has very poor lighting and ventilation. There is no ventilation in the separately enclosed shower/bathroom which creates a very humid environment in the vanity area. The air conditioning is very hard to control. The beds are extremely soft/worn in the center. The very under-powered hair dryer is stored in the closet as it would take up a large part of the vanity area if left out. The ironing board was failing apart. A major disappointment that does not fit the on-line description.

Disappointed

The only thing I was looking for in a hotel was a bar. The bar was shut down without notification. They set up this little table in the middle of the entrance where you could drink. Just wanted a nice place to have a couple drinks with my wife where we didn't have to drive anywhere.

Needs Improvement

This is my second stay at this hotel, the first being 3 years ago. This experience was not as good as my first. They were rehabbing the bar area and also one side of the hotel. Parking was not convenient and hard to find later at night. The rooms were redecorated nicely from the first time but I suggest there be mirrors in the bedroom area. It was difficult when more than one person had to get ready when there was only one area to use a mirror. The new LCD flat screen tvs were nice but I had to fiddle with the cables to get the picture to come out clear. The front desk staff was not very friendly especially when the room key didn't work and the manager during the afternoon shift didn't even apologize. My neighbor had their room service tray in the hallway for a whole day without someone picking it up. One evening I called to front desk and it kept ringing. After 10 minutes of trying I had to go walk down there to get assistance. It was a bit frustrating. On a positive note, the location of the hotel was good. The room was clean and the bed was very comfortable. But the hotel overall was disappointing. Hopefully once the rehab is over there will be more order to the hotel.

Overated Hotel

This hotel was in a great location. However, the rooms were small, stuffy, and not very clean. The standard rooms did not include minature Refrigerator nor Microwave. The only option was to eat at their restaurant, which was over priced or to eat out. It was definitely overated. I would not stay there again.

would definitely recommend to a friend; helpful, friendly staff; very good room service; nice perks/features -- including available in-room massage; great room for the money
