Trip Type: Not Provided Review 1 of 103Charming hotel in the heart of Boston
Loved the charm of an older building and the location was great! Also, the staff were very friendly & helpful. Great value!

Trip Type: Special Event Review 2 of 103Needs updating, but great location.
Location is great! The hotel is clean, but desperately needs updating. The room was small, but we expected that, and the hotel is an old one which does give it charm. Overall, we loved the location and the continental breakfast offered was nice, but the hotel does need updating.

Trip Type: With Friends Review 3 of 103great location
if you are in boston to explore the city this is a great location. we walked EVERYWHERE. yes the room is tiny, but it has character and includes everything you need, if you just need a bed and a place to decompress before another adventure. The beds were not small like other reviews said. They advertised a full sized bed, i got a full sized bed that was clean and pretty comfy. the bfast in the morning is average and is open til 1030 which i liked as a late gogetter. Not sketchy, not dirty, not super frilly with pools and gyms, just a cool place in a great location.

Trip Type: Business Review 4 of 103Good hotel for the price
I stayed here for only one night. The front staff was really nice and cared about taking care of my needs. They also have a free complimentary breakfast! The room itself was really good, it was clean and proper. They have anything you'll need if you're planning to be there for a night or a few nights. If you're ok with staying in a bit a smaller room but fully furnished and actually like nice people being around you, stay here.

Trip Type: Not Provided Review 5 of 103Small, but clean
After reading some of the reviews, we were fearful of arriving and having to book somewhere else. Luckily, The Milner was clean and easy to get to. The room is small, but we hardly spent any time in it. The bathroom was clean and the view was nice. The trucks outside that passed by woke my up; however, my wife didn't hear a thing. Also, some other people we know stayed at a fancy hotel and could hear street noise 9 floors up (we were on the 5th floor). The Milner is very old and it looks old, but has lots of character. It was very pricy for what it is, but I would recommend it to those who aren't going to spend lots of time in their room. We had a great time in Boston even though New Englanders aren't the friendliest people.

Staff was amazingly friendly and helpful- very chatty and personable. Michael's waffles in the morning were fantastic- very positive experience at the Milner.

Trip Type: Family Review 9 of 103Location is Perfect
The rooms at the Milner Hotel are a bit small, but they are very clean. The staff was incredibly gracious and extremely helpful. Crystal, at the front desk was a joy and made our stay that much more pleasant. She provided directions and site seeing recommendations even outside of the Boston area. We also enjoyed the complimentary daily breakfast that was served. The location in itself is worth the stay at Milner. It is within walking distance to most everything in the city. It is close to restaurants, shopping, Boston Commons and, Fenway Park. Very minimal need, if at all for a rental car and or need for a cab, except to and from the airport. Milner will definitely be a hotel we will stay again.

Trip Type: Family Review 10 of 103Old world and cozy, great breakfast
The room was small but adequate for one night. Good location for sightseeing, theater, close to Commons. They could put in a new elevator and spruce up the rooms to brighten them. Also, the windows were small and dirty on the outside. Felt like I was in a 2** old European hotel. Price was right compared with other hotels in area.

Trip Type: Romance Review 11 of 103Enjoyed the Milner
This hotel is very nice. Even for an old building, its just what I expected. It stated that the rooms were on the small side. This is correct, but I enjoyed the person I was with, so being in a small room was just fine. The breakfast was delicious. The staff was helpful and polite. I stayed here for my anninverary and would definately stay her again. Location was good. Within walking distance for many restaurants and stores.

Trip Type: Family Review 12 of 103Perfect location, quaint Boston experience
My husband and I really enjoyed staying at the Milner hotel. It was in a great location for the areas of Boston that we wanted to see. About 1 mile from Fenway, about 1 mile from the North End, and a block away from Boston Common. The rooms of course are smaller than standard rooms of newer hotels but it was perfect for us. We had the luck of staying in a room with an emergency exit so the bathroom was slightly bigger. The continental breakfast was great too. I do recommend though that you get to breakfast early. Since it is an older hotel, the breakfast area is small with limited seating. If you're driving or renting a car, I recommend parking at the Boston Common parking deck. It was $12 or so and we ended up paying $40 in a closer parking deck. All in all a great hotel and great location!!

Trip Type: With Friends Review 13 of 103Great location, good for the money
Staying in Boston can come with a large price tag. If you are there to venture out, spend an afternoon in the commons or go by the harbour, even Beacon Hill, I would stay at the Milner. The rooms are a bit tight. If you want to stay in a larger room, you will pay double. For the traveler who will only use the room to sleep and shower, or maybe watch good morning america, this hotel will meet your needs. If you like to spend a lot of time in a hotel room or will have a very short stay, I recommend you stay in a different hotel with more amenities. There is no pool or gym here. They do offer a small continental breakfast where you can make your own waffles and such. You will get very acquainted with other guests as the space provided to eat is very NY style.(you sit really close to the next person)

Trip Type: With Friends Review 14 of 103A place to stay
This hotel is very old and like many hotels in New York City for example the rooms are small. For people like myself that are just looking for a place to sleep and wash up it is perfect. We spend very little time in our room in anyways. The idea of going somewhere is to enjoy the place not the hotel. The location is close to the "T" (Subway) Theater District, China Town and the Historic area all on foot or "T". I read the some of the negative reviews and it is obvious the folks were looking for something the Milner is not. Nice people, different kind of place and a great area.
