Fiendly and helpful Employees. Welcoming atmosphere. Nice sized room. Contemporary Design. The location right off Michigan Ave. was perfect.

Trip Type: Family Review 6 of 428Outstanding hotel but...........
As noted above the hotel was otstanding in services, location, friendliness, cleanliness, decoration, room size. Everything was absolutely oerfect except for one tiny detail. After staying there for 7 days the last night while waiting for friends at the lobby I approached the front desk and asked about the possibility about making a local phone call from the desk, the people attending the front desk where rude which I found surprising. They told me that all phone calls where to be made from the bedrooms, regardless of any policies the hotel may have what startled me was how unfriendly the staff acted. Besides that everything in the hotel was perfect.

Very helpful and friendly staff. The room and bathroom were large, clean, comfortable, well-decorated. Location of the hotel is very convenient to Michigan Ave, Northwestern hospital, restaurants, the lakeshore and more. Safe and secure too.

Trip Type: With Friends Review 8 of 428Great Hotel For the Price
The hotel staff was extremely friendly and were always there if we needed any information or any amenities for our room. The rooftop bar has a great view, an awesome bartender, and very tasty martinis to match! Our room was very clean and comfortable. The decor is very modern looking and up to date. The only thing to note is to not make local telephone calls from the room as you will be charged. Other than that I recommend this hotel to any and everyone and I will definitely be back!

Trip Type: Not Provided Review 12 of 428Perfect location...perfect hotel
The Affinia was really an outstanding place to stay in Chicago. Being less than a block to the Magnificent Mile and only a few blocks to the Lake was terrific. The room was well appointed, and a very nice layout and size for the price. Some of the extras available (six kinds of pillows!) were a nice touch. My only hope is that they can do something to lessen the blow of the parking fee--at $48 per day, it felt a little steep, even by NYC standards. Otherwise, a very enjoyable stay. I'd definitely plen on staying at the Affinia on my next trip to Chicago.

Perfect location right next to Gino's East. Easy walking distance "the mile." Roof top bar was cool, and had great city views. This was the first in a long time where everything worked in the room, the shower and sinks drained too.

Trip Type: Family Review 14 of 428One small problem
My recent stay was wonderful, including the great staff. There was one small problem: The corners of the shower had black mildew. Otherwise, the room and bathroom were spotless. I mentioned this on check out, and was told that the problem would be corrected.

Great location, the only downside being right next to a hospital meant ambulance sirens. But nothing loud enough to wake you from sleep. the staff was very friendly and professional. Elevator can be very slow during peak times. On Sunday morning, my two children walked down 26 flights faster than my elevator ride.
