Trip Type: Romance Review 1 of 6Great Photographers
The photos on the website were far and away better than the actual property. The room was smaller than expected and the hotel was older and more run down than the picture portrayed. Interior of room was small but clean. The hotel itself was a little overpriced, but so is Aspen in general.

Trip Type: Family Review 3 of 6Rundown
The Hotel Aspen was run down with dirty carpeting and worn furniture. The outside need painting and the grounds needed maintenance. The desk clerk was inattentive and our check in took too long.

Trip Type: Family Review 5 of 6Satisfactory if Price is Right
Rooms are large and there are several noticeable and appreciated updates (high end bed linens, flat panel tv). Bathroom needed some maintenance (jacuzzi tub did not function, sink cracked, needs new paint). Biggest annoyance/complaint is that the exterior door has levolor blinds instead of a heavy, privacy curtain and, as a result, it was impossible to keep out the light from an exterior flood light at night. Wife and I both found the ambient light in the room very disruptive to getting - and staying - asleep. It felt like we had a 40w light on in the room. Resorted to taking a chair outside the next day and reaching up to unscrew the flood light. Big help, but still too much light comes into rooms with this "door-with-blinds-instead-of-curtains" feature. If the room is priced at a bargain, it is worthwhile. Otherwise, one-bedroom condos are better value in Aspen.

Trip Type: Romance Review 6 of 6Very noisy
Hard to get a wink of sleep. Heard every step and spoken word of the people above us. Asked for a different room and that room was as noisy because they had some kind of fan or moror above us that ran all night. A miserable experience.
