Trip Type: Family Review 1 of 120Decent
Cons- no microwave, tiny fridge with no where to plug in, room a little cramped. Pros- good location, quiet, well decorated rooms, washer/dryers outside for your use. I stayed there one night with spouse and child, slept well, room was clean. No real complaints just wish I could have heated up my left overs. It wouldn,t be my first choice but I would stay there again.

Trip Type: Business Review 2 of 120Needs Improvement!
Although perfectly located for the convention center, a short walk, we couldn't even close the door to the bathroom. It was warped to the point that no amount of tugging helped. The mattress was worn out, so no good nite's sleep for us!

Trip Type: Special Event Review 4 of 120Good room for location
Good location but service was bad. Informed the front desk that the wireless internet was not working in my room. Was told to call a number because they pay them to provide the service. Internet was very week and would cut out at the wrong time.Stayed 3 days and it never improved. My bed was rock hard and I felt it in the morning. After getting use to it I survived.

Trip Type: Family Review 5 of 120Ok for the Price
For the price we paid on Hotels.com, on a holiday weekend, in San Diego it was fine. Thankfully, the room was much roomier than expected (based on reviews we read). Convenient location if you're not hanging out at the beaches (which we were). But still not bad for getting around. Definetely shows it's age. If they'd remodel the rooms with nice finishing touches and modern decor it would be great. Hot tub right outside our room very noisy at night. Best thing was the friendly bartender.

Just a lower quality hotel that was somewhat dingy and dated, though the bathroom was clean. Also it was surprising that even the bottles of water in the room were not free. You had to pay $2.50 per bottle if you drank one.

Trip Type: Family Review 8 of 120Dissapointment with this hotel
1. The hotel offers free wifi: When I got to my room #122 the wifi signal was so week at times I had one bar, the other times I had no signal. Their router was in room 121. I called the tech support number and it was of no help. They then offered me a DSL modem so I can access the internet for area maps, and directions. But it is not wifi and I am tied to a cable. 2. The room had a mirror on the whole wall next to the bed. If you opened your eyes, you saw yourself trying to sleep. Then again if my wife needed to look at herself dressed to go out for the evening, she would have to stand on the bed for a full lenght look at herself. 3. The sink and coffee pot was outside of the bathroom, so when I got up to make coffee or get ready for the day, I woke everybody else up with the noise of the coffee pot, and the water running. And they only include one pack of coffee, that is about two cups.No decaf coffee only regular. If you want decaf coffee you need to go to the front desk and ask for it. 4. The outside was dark at night, the lights was broke and not working around the planters, and the driveway.

I was drawn to the hotel initially because of the good reviews including the ones about how great the pool was. In the picture online the pool looked like a tropical paradise when in fact it was very small and felt like a pool at an apartment complex. The beds were horribly uncomfortable in both rooms and their were ants in one of our rooms as well. The best part about the hotel was the bar -Zach's- well kept, comfortable, friendly staff.

Trip Type: Family Review 12 of 120Think twice
This hotel is very old but it is very convenient if you visiting Sea world and Zoo in San Diego. Rooms are not that great. I found it very unusual that they have doors to atleast one adjacent room from every room. I did not like that at all. Also every time someone from adjacent room closes the room door, you feel like someone is knocking on your door. It was very inconvenient. Ovaerall, I did not like this hotel.

Trip Type: Business Review 15 of 120Thin Walls Hotel
I stayed in this hotel for the San Diego Rock and Roll Marathon in May. I stayed in a 2 bed room with my wife and 2 kids. We had the front desk call us regarding complaints about noise coming from our room. I have a 5 and 7 yr old. We were amazed and surprised this happened. I travel all over the country to compete in Marathons and this was the first time we stayed at a hotel where the walls were so thin we couldn't even talk!
