Tipo de viaje: Romance Reseña 1 de 11Not Bad for the Price
This wasn't a bad hotel by any means, but it wasn't great either. The service was prompt and friendly, the hotel was clean, plenty of hot water, etc. However, the beds were a little too firm for my liking and it wasn't in a great part of town. We didn't mind walking to the nearest El station (about 1/2 - 3/4 mile at Cermack and China Town) during the day (or around downtown, the loop, etc. at night) but I would take a cab home after dark. There's probably a similar place for about the same price closer to the El or downtown or both.

The mattress was the worst I have ever slept on. Not fit for a dog.

Tipo de viaje: Business Reseña 5 de 11bad location
The staff was excellent and the room adequate for the price. Sadly, the location is just short of frightening. We were told it was .5 miles from the McCormick center and that we could walk. Actually, there is a freeway between them and it took 30 minutes to walk and even for a city street smart girl it made my heart race. NOT SAFE at all.

Tipo de viaje: Family Reseña 7 de 11Decent for Money, Mixed bag of good and bad
Hotel is decent for money, but you can get better for a bit more, with better location. Lobby is nice, rooms are nice, but too spacious, with dated furniture, no couch for the TV (seriously needed), and carpets were stained. Shower was not great and the lobby food stand was bad. The stylist was nice and the free parking is great.

When making my reservation I asked if this hotel had a free breakfast. The hotel.com operator contacted the hotel and was told that there was a free breakfast. On arrival at the hotel I was told by the front desk staff that there is NO free breakfast, but that I could buy a meal in the coffe shop on site. The next morning I noticed a sign in the coffee shop offering a free breakfast!! I asked the best way to get to my destination in the morning and wss told that the only way was to take a cab. As I left the desk I saw some other guests returning to the hotel from a bus sto across the street. That bus took me straight to my destination and back to the hotel! There is no coffee pot in the room but one will be provided if requested. The coffe pot that arrived at my room had to be baby-sat to get it to work. Since my experience with the front desk had been so negative so far, I decided to baby sit instead of ask for a new coffee pot. I tried to call out for a pizza delivery and couldn't get out. I called the front desk for help and was told "Well, I don't know what's up with that. Use your cell phone."! At check out I found out that there is a charge for local calls!! While the hotel itself was comfortable, I will not stay there again because the staff obviously doesn't want to be bothered by guests!!

Tipo de viaje: Business Reseña 9 de 11Missing necessities.
The hotel does not have refrigerators, coffee makers, or microwaves in the rooms. There is no wifi. Most of the hotel staff is very helpful. There is one exception. There is one woman staff member (late fiftes and blonde hair) that works behind the desk. She is very confused and equally as confusing. To ask her for help with anything is futile. She is also very argumentative. I remember one instance where I mentioned that it would be nice to have a fridge in the room so that I could actually save my leftovers from eating out. She replied "most hotels charge people for that luxury." I may have wanted to discuss the conversation with a manager if I hadn't just left the hospital.

For the price that we paid, it wasn't too bad. Our entire group agreed that it seemed like they had started to build a hotel, then halfway through they said "you know what? we have enough here to open" and just gave up. the only mirror in the room is in the bathroom, checkout times are not posted anywhere in the room, and one of our sets of sheets were dirty. Some of the front desk staff was friendly, while others were very rude. She made no move to acknowledge us, so we tried to speak to her and she rudely informed us that she would be with us in a moment. The housekeeping lady that brought us our extra sheets was very nice. The area of town is a little sketchy. Me and the other girl in the group didn't feel comfortable walking to the bus or subway stations either together or by ourselves. When you do ride the bus or train, it isn't far from anything, which is nice. For the money, it was okay, but I have had much better accommodations and service in Chicago for the price.
