Topaz Hotel - a Kimpton Hotel

Location, location, location

The hotel is conveniently located in Dupont Circle. Easy access to public transportation, shops and restaurants. The room was oddly shaped and a little quirky but that seems to be Kimpton's signature. The room itself is unremarkable but clean. The bathroom is small but otherwise also clean and updated. Do not eat breakfast at the hotel - ridiculously expensive. One great feature - the Topaz has a car service on retainer. If you need to get anywhere (like back and forth to Dulles), it's not cheap but it is very ocnvenient and the driver is professional and courteous.

Great spot, unique and fun, would definitely stay again

The hotel staff was very helpful. We arrived on a Friday night and they informed us that we would not have to pay for parking on the street all weekend. Also, they helped us find fun places to eat and places to go in DC that were not too touristy. The hotel itself was really cool, with unique lighting and decor. The sangria hour was fun and the herbal shot was helpful for the headach in the morning. The room was spacious and very comfy. The seating area came in handy with friends that came to have a cocktail and the bar downstairs was really nice. Clean and worth the money. Would definitely stay at a Kimpton again!

Loved It

The Topaz Hotel is a nice place to stay, and in a wonderful neighborhood. There are numerous restaurants, coffee shops, etc. right around the corner and the Dupont Metro station is there also. It's a beautiful area and great for walking. I would stay here again.

pet friendly. comfortable and contemporary bar and restaurant in the lobby, convenient to the metro, shops and dupont circle. the entire staff is friendly and accomadating.

Hate to tell you about this place: It's a Gem!

The location is a few blocks from the action of Dupont Circle. Restaurants, clubs, book stores, you name it, this area has it. For the price, it cannot be beaten. The rooms are spacious and the staff couldn't have been friendlier. I never ate in this hotel, so I cannot attest to the quality of the food.

Excellent hotel

The staff was very helpful, the rooms were large and comfortable and the location could not be better if you need to be near Dupont Circle.
