Crowne Plaza Hotel St. Louis Downtown

Not worth the money

We stayed here for one night as a quick getaway for my husband, my 7 month year old daughter, and I. We had to wait out in the cold with our baggage until our valet finally came around to pick up our car. They charge a valet fee for every night you are there, and the whole hotel has mandatory valet, you have no option but to pay that fee. On top of the valet fee, you also have to tip them, anytime they bring your car to you or anything of the sort, we forgot a baby carrier in our car and when we asked to get it we were told it would take to long to explain and that he would go get it, which cost us another tip. The restaurant was decent. They only had a few items for each meal, but it all tasted good. Only complaint in that department is that we paid for a breakfast buffet, and we found out while going to breakfast the next morning that there was no breakfast buffet that day and that we would have to choose a single item from the menu, which we could have gotten a cheaper room and actually filled our stomaches somewhere else, their breakfast portions are tiny. The room was clean, and there was a sink and microwave. Overall though you could tell that the hotel was barely cleaned, there was grime in the light switches. We tried to treat ourselves to a mini vacation that would get us out of town for the night, but we could have found the same room quality for half the price.

Within walking distance to so many things! We will stay here again next time we go to St Louis!

Outstanding Hotel

Everyone at the front desk was more than willing to give us directions and accomondate my family in every way possible. Our room was clean and very nice.

Great Hotel - Great Location

Great hotel very close to the Arch, and just a few blocks from Busch Stadium. My only minor complaints are that the window was dirty, and there wasn't a large selection of places to eat in the neighborhood. But parking was easy in the garage, and we had a great stay.

Expected more

I expected more for that class of hotel. The room is not what was portrayed online. The surrounding area of the hotel was great and the location is great.

Great Area

This hotel is in walking distance of the Edward Jones Dome, Busch Stadium, a great shopping/dining area downtown. We didn't have to drive anywhere at all.

Great Hotel.....

The hotel was great however all of downtown St Louis smells like a dumpster and we had to pay $10 to park. The hotel offers valet parking but it's much easier to park yourself in their underground parking which also smells like a dumpster. Very close to the Bush Stadium and the Arch walked to both within minutes.
