Trip Type: With Friends Review 1 of 41Great location
Perfect location. I loved that we could walk to the bars. Still, it was down far enough on the block that we couldn't hear noise from the street when we were trying to sleep. The room was very well-decorated, and the iPod hookup was nice to have. The only things I found a little strange were (1)the bead curtain blocking off the closet, and (2)the fact that the TV worked in the evening but would not turn on when we woke up in the morning. Neither of these things were real problems, just a little odd.

This hotel was awesome. Well decorated and the lounge was nice. The breakfast in the morning was awesome. Definately would stay there again.

Trip Type: With Friends Review 4 of 41Cheap and Nice
Small room, but still had room for a pullout couch, so not bad. Looks like this used to be a rundown hotel but that they have spent a lot of money renovating it. Despite that, you can still see some of the old features (some wood panelling, old bathroom fixtures). The carpet, furniture, painting and common areas are brand new and very modern and nice. I really enjoyed my stay.

Trip Type: With Friends Review 6 of 41Great Stay
Thoroughly enjoyed the Q. There was a guy playing acoustic guitar in the lobby bar when we checked in...very cool. Free hotel shuttle drove us to the Power and Light District. Took guest bike's to the Plaza. Tommy cooked a mean omelet at breakfast. I don't recall the bartenders name but she was friendly. She bought us a round after the free managers reception had ended. Great staff---great hotel---loved it.

Trip Type: With Friends Review 8 of 41Great hotel
Right in the heart of Westport if you want to stay in a nightlife district. Rooms are smallish and can seem to have thin walls if your neighbors are loud, but overall great value for location, service, cleanliness.

Trip Type: With Friends Review 9 of 41Adequate accommodations
The Q is situated in the Westport district of Kansas City, Missouri. The area offers a number of restaurants, bars, and shops which are all conveniently located within walking distance from the hotel. While the area once had a bad reputation, it is much more settled and friendly today. The hotel staff is personable and helpful and the hotel itself is quite charming. The carpet in our room was a little lose and so had a few ripples. The TV was nice, but a little small and situated at a bad angle. Overall, the hotel was very par-for-the-course in its price range. My only complaint was that we didn't stay for the last day of our reservation and the hotel refused to return even a portion of the rate. So, if you make reservations, be sure that they are exact or you'll lose an entire night's stay.

Trip Type: With Friends Review 10 of 41Small Rooms - Great Service
The rooms were small and did not have a microwave or refrgerator, but the service and the staff were great. The shuttle was very convenient and accommodating, especially if you do not know how to get around in KC.

Trip Type: With Friends Review 11 of 41Balcony rooms are Small with high street noise
This is a great location and a VERY good value for the area. The Balcony rooms are tiny and I would not choose one for a long stay. The Westport area has a lot of night clubs and caters to a younger crowd, so street noise can be an issue if you are on the front of the hotel.

Trip Type: With Friends Review 12 of 41Amazing Hotel in Perfect Location
Great hotel! Rooms were spacious and VERY comfortable. Clean and well equipped. Staff was very friendly and helpful. The hotel is located in the Westport area which is probably the most interesting part of Kansas City. The area is right in between Crown Center and the museum area of the city, so it's a convenient trip to either. The complimentary breakfast was a nice perk as well. Definitely a quality place.

Trip Type: With Friends Review 14 of 41Great hotel with great perks
I stayed at the hotel with a couple of friends while we were in Kansas City to see a concert. We spent two nights at the hotel and we all like it very much and would go back again. We took a free shuttle to and from the concert at the Sprint Center, which was fantastic. The shuttle dropped us off near downtown the next night ... all we did was call the front desk and ask for it to be ready at 8, and there it was! We also liked getting two free drinks at happy hour and my friend used the free pass to the Gold's Gym across the street and the free breakfast (especially the omlettes and waffles!) was yummy. The decor is great too ... it doesn't have the stuffy, chain hotel vibe at all. The colors and extra touches are superb. We had hoped to use the spa, but found out that all appointments must be made 24 hours in advance. It seemed odd, because Spa is in the name of the hotel, so were were expecting a full-service salon and spa! But other than that, we all agreed we'd stay there again.

Trip Type: With Friends Review 15 of 41Had a fun weekend.
Location was great, very easy walk within the Westport area, staff were very nice, breakfast was very good, downside we had two rooms and both were uncomfortable because the air conditioning even when set at 65 would not cool down. We did report a shower problem at the front desk during check out.
