Trip Type: Family Review 3 of 9Good value
I'd reserved a room with a queen bed, but what they gave us was a room with a double bed and a balcony. My husband liked the balcony, but I would have preferred a larger bed. Apparently rooms with queens don't have a balcony. Next time, I'll get my queen-size bed and hubby can go downstairs and outside to smoke!

Trip Type: Family Review 4 of 9It's dirty
The carpet is very old. The bathroom is so small and dirty. Feel like an apartment you rented in college when you didn't have money.

Trip Type: Family Review 5 of 9Nice Hotel ,Small rooms
The stay was very enjoyable and the breakfast was delicious.I have only two complaints, the tv was very hard to work and you had to have a light switch on by the front door(I learned that later)WOW,the second, our room was really clean but very, very small.I would stay there again but ask for a bigger room if availbable.

Trip Type: Family Review 6 of 9Thought it was a bad dream!
Our recent visit to KC was all but shattered upon check in to this hotel. We checked in around 4pm only to hear that the shuttle service was booked for all night wedding parties. They would make one stop near the Sprint center that night for a concert we were going to at 5pm, the show was at 8. We went up to our room to find a full size bed, not a queen and the balcony had trash and cigarette butts all over it. The room had one mirror which made it tedious to get ready, a bath fan that fell out of the wall when you turned it on, paint bubbling up on the walls from the humidity in the building and worn/nicked up furniture. The iron in the room was leaking and I went to get a new one from the front desk but no apology given. We were unable to move to another room as they were full that night. The area at night is popping, and is full of cops right and left. The police chopper flew overhead the hotel about 10 min that night circling around the street about a block down. The only good thing was the breakfast the next morning that included scrambled eggs, bagels, toast, cereal, fruit, coffee, juice and milk.

Trip Type: Family Review 7 of 9Great boutique hotel in great location
Having never been to Kansas City I wanted to make sure we stayed at a great hotel in a nice neighborhood. Hotel.com made it easy to make a selection that met my criteria. The Q is a fantastic hotel rivaling any boutique hotel in a larger metro like Chicago, NYC or LA. It was a great value with a breakfast buffet complete with omelet and waffle station, free off-street parking and nightly guest reception. The location was great as well. Many restaurant, bars and shopping were within walking distance. I found the staff to be extremely helpful and friendly giving us ideas on what to see and do while in town. The room was comfortable and quiet. And it's a 'green' hotel". It's always nice to see a company being environmentally responsible. My only negative would be to invest in better bed pillows. A minor change in the overall scheme of things but it would make it that much better.
