The Fairmont Royal York

Perfect place to stay

This hotel makes you feel what it might have been like in the past in Toronto before all the high rise office buildings sprang up. Convenient to tourist attractions: CN Tower, the islands, harbor cruise, etc. Go out the front door and walk to your left for about three blocks and then enjoy a great French bistro (on the right) and all sorts of other restaurants. Loved the York

Pretty Good Place

This Hotel was very classy, but the rooms were a bit small. Small pool. The most unattractive part was the $40 a day for parking. There is no where else to park too. And you have to valet your vehicle and the attendants were tip hungry. I am sure there are more nicer places to stay at. The best part of the hotel was the location. right across from Union Station and near the CN tower & Rogers Centre.

Great Room when you can get in!

We arrived late 8:15pm and were told our room still was not ready!! We were able to check in at 9:00pm, very unacceptable after we have driven 8 hours to arrive and were very tired. Thought this was unusual for a Fairmont but the bellman told us this was a normal occurance there!!

Best Hotel I've Ever Stayed In

The location, the price, the service, was all beyond measure! Highly recommended! Best in Toronto!

I'm picky, and I'd stay here again!

The Fairmont was a great experience. Very clean, extremely comfortable beds, great staff. Downtown Toronto is a little ways from the airport, but there is a bus that runs every 20 minutes from the airport to a few hotels in the downtown area. The Fairmont is one of them. The train station is also right across the street from the Fairmont. Walking distance to lots of great restaurants. Access to the "Path", or underground shopping center, from lower level of the hotel. Great place.

Great location

This hotel was a great location to the CN Tower, the Hockey Hall of Fame, the subway as well as where the Maple Leafs play. I would recommend this place due to the location and convience of it all.

Great Hotel, slow housekeeping

We got to the hotel about 3:30 for our check in, the room was not ready yet, I checked an hour later, still not ready, The gave us some food/drink coupons, had a drink walked around the city for a bit, came back at 6:15 still not ready, finally they gave me another room that was ready, I hade 5 minutes to take a shower and head out to dinner. Friday our room did not get cleaned at all. Other than that this hotel is in a great location, easy walk to CN Tower, Rogers Center, harbor front. Lots to do and see. Valet parking a bit pricey.
